Hello everyone,

My name is Patrick, first time Viper owner and soon to be member of the VCA - I wanted to introduce myself to the community and tell you guys a little bit about me. Ever since the first time I saw a Viper in person way back in the mid 90s, I was hooked - for years I've said one day I would own one and I'm proud to say that I finally made that happen. A few weeks ago I purchased a 2000 RT/10, steel gray with low miles and in great condition. Couldn't just mention it with words, so I'll throw some pics in as well!

It was raining the day I took delivery, but the rain couldn't stop my smiles! I've been giddy ever since that day! I've owned sports cars in the past, but the Viper seems to be a whole different breed - still getting used to it, familiarizing myself with the car. But I love it!

I'm in the Hickory, NC area - anyone on the forums local to me? Looking forward to getting to know you guys on the forums and very excited about hooking up with the local VCA chapter to attend events; very excited to be a part of this community!

Congrats, I'm not too far from you, Charleston, SC. There are some cool events coming up in the north/south Carolina region in the next few months. Also, if you want to take a road trip September 14/15, there is a big 1/2 mile event outside of Atlanta that will have several vipers there if you want to meet some fellow owners.

@speedracervr4 - no engine mods that I'm aware of; obviously the wheels are aftermarket HRE (not sure of the model)..

Thanks to everyone for the welcome wishes and compliments! I wasn't really sure about the color and wheels from the sellers pictures when I first found his ad, but I fell in love with both after my first trip to his house to have a look.

@CEJ - yes, I'm aware of the Biltmore trip in September and will probably be attending as that would make a great event to get to know some of the local VCA members. Lived in NC my entire life. Would have loved to have been at the "Mopars" event in Myrtle Beach (last weekend I think?), but didn't have the time to get that worked out unfortunately. Does the VCA make a big showing for that? I vacation in Surfside Beach numerous times throughout the year - will probably have the snake down there next time I go.

Good deal, glad you're aware of the club events. Our new officers have done a great job with club activities, so this year has been a lot of fun. Glad to hear you're a native. I've only been in NC for 20+ years and I love it here.

You're right on the way to Biltmore, so we'll have to stop in Hickory and then head to Asheville.

I'd love to ride tomorrow but I can't make that one - working from home most of the weekend (takes all the fun out of the weekends, doesn't it?), but thanks for the invite anyway.

I've been reading some threads here and there mentioning this Cars and Coffee - what's that all about? Looks like it's a monthly car meet that some of you guys attend? Looks like there are multiple C&C's every month in different areas? I'd love to attend..

Thats the same smile we ALL had when we got our first snakes. Congrats!!!!!!!!!!

just be careful with her, the Torque is like NO other car out there, and with no nanny controls (which is why we love em lol) i CAN be dangerous.

get to know the car before you start driving like you stole it lol

last piece of advice, put this # in your phone (914) 763-3136 its Tators garage, you ever need ANYTHING on the fly, parts, service, questions or just want to ask "what the hell is with the key hole in the glove box for" call Chuck Tator, hes every Viper owners best friend.
