Problem with inside door "weather strip". what to do?

Make your own, or buy new door panels. Not cheap and pretty common on the 3rd gens I hear.

I just ripped both of mine off. Looks much better than cracked/peeling/broken pieces. Thought I would end up fixing it, but I think it looks fine as is so I haven't gotten around to it.

You can buy the Gen4 upgraded ones. They are stronger and snap on (the originals are stapled on). They are expensive, but cheaper than replacing the whole door panel.

Unfortunately, a classic example of what happens when someone who does not know how to take off the door panels gets frustrated and forces the issue.

I have 2 take off door panels from a 2006 with from building a race car. It has the strips on it and they are ok.
