No More Key in Drivers Door

I went to the dealership and seen a new Gen V, First time I had seen one and was very impressed with everything on the car. One thing i did notice that I could not find the hidden key on the drivers door like the older cars. Did they move it to a different location? I guess probably not needed as you can get in the hatch but just one of those things.

If the battery dies and you need to get in the car you have to go in through the trunk, replace the battery back there, and then you can access the doors and their electric handles. That is unless you're part of a circus contortion team and then you open the trunk and climb through the opening to get to the drivers seat.

I wonder why they did that... At least on the Gen II GTS they had a secondary "emergency exit" pull tab that you could reach from inside the hatch. I guess it's one more reason to keep a battery tender on the car during the winter

Or bend a wire hanger and slide in from hatch to pull the mechanical inside door handle.

Pretty sure there is a manual door release hidden inside the trunk, along the driver's side of the wall carpet. Just like there is a manual gas door release on the passenger side. Then you only need to pop the hatch with the key, and pull the release. Very similar to the C6 Corvette.

The trunk has a key hole. There is a cord to pull in the trunk, same as the coupe.
