...how do I open the hatchback or liftgate on my 2008 Viper coupe if the battery is dead or out of the car? Is there a emergency latch somewhere or...? Someone must know this answer...thanks, Mike:omg:

Hey jonhiew398...I was afraid it was going to be a dumb question. Thanks for the straight answer. It's funny how the answer is right in front of you but you don't see it.
Just unlock it with your key. I never actually looked so I went and unlocked mine with the key.

Don't feel bad about it.
I would have bet there was not a key entry for the trunk.
Sho nuf. It is there. LOL
You do know about the hidden key entry for the driver side door, right?
I lost my keys, but had a key without a remote stashed under the hood.
A teenager in a WalMart parking lot showed me that one.
*Note to self - I need to get that manual.

Yep...the sad part is that I had just cleaned the area around the license plate and of course, the key cylinder is right next to it but in my panic, I didn't think about it. Also, after I had unhooked the battery cables in preparation for removing the battery, I needed to open the door with the hidden lock on the drivers door and the window interfered with the roof of the car. I then had to reconnect the battery in order to get the window to work properly so I could shut the door. Then I disconnected the cables again and removed the battery. That's why I go to the forums to ask questions because someone before me most likely had experienced the situation and I don't have to reinvent the wheel so to speak. Thanks for you comments. Mike
