Hello all, new here and need some help. My story is, I have a 73 charger and swapping for just about everything from a 94 viper, engine, harness, computers, gauges, wheels, rear end basically just about everything. My problem right now is that I had someone disabled the security system and trying to start. the motor is cranking, I'm getting current in the injectors and distributors but no pulse on the injectors and no spark on plug wires. Can someone point me in the right direction please. Tks

Anyone?? Hello?? Anybody at all... ? Im not entirely clear on what your doing... I guess ill bite and assume you mean you are putting or have put these viper parts into your charger.. or maybe your swapping the car for those viper parts??? Ill go with the viper parts to charger transplant theroy.... So ummmm.. how far into this transplant are you? Like finishing up or haven't started? You might be "The Man" at this sorta thing I have no idea... but quite frankly some wording of your questions and inaccurate nomenclature has me ... concerned, I guess..... I've "been there done that" more than a few times, though admittedly never a Viper into a 73 charger... lets see where your at and what your doing before I get too far ahead of myself telling you to STOP!!!! Lol.. :)

Tks for the reply, the engine is already in there and I'm trying to get it started. Someone have already disabled the security system. Its cranking and im getting power to the distributor and power to the injectors but no spark to the plug wires and no pulse on the injectors. I was told to check the ASD relay but I dont know which one it is.

Guessing it probably wouldn't even crank if it was missing, but have you got a clutch safety switch wired up as well? Not sure what transmission you're running, but since all Vipers ran manuals I'd think the computer would be looking for neutral before allowing it to start. Typically they won't even crank though if you don't have the clutch engaged, so this may not be it.

If it is everything from the 94, my guess is the alarm system is still causing the issue. Everything you are saying is exactly what happens when my 94 has the alarm set. Did you get the key and fob from the same computer you took from the donor viper?

I'd lean towards the security system again. . double check that it has been done correctly with whoever did it. If its good and all your powers and grounds are good im guessing you'll have no crank reference, if you watched it on a computer while trying trying to start it up does it show any engine rpm or crank signal of any sort.. the ecm needs crank reference to fire the coils and injectors I dont know what type of scan tool or laptop your using but does it have any codes? Do you get a check engine light with key on which signifies that the engine computer is ok? Theres going to be a lot you could have screwed up (I know from experience) so its impossible to say.. put some pics up.. I would like to see it..

The computer is set up to shut down the engine when the alarm is disabled, so you will need to reset the alarm system back again. This happened to me when I tried to disable to alarm system.

Would it make more sense to convert the car to a Gen2 pcm/harness. I know it is not straight forward, however, you than have the ability to tune with SCT?
