Splitter for Aero Viper 2006

I am sick as I type this. My prefix splitter is cracked on the front (piece missing) of my 2006. Is it possible to replace these? How much do they cost and where do you get them? It doesn't appear to be repairable but it may be? It's only the black outer shell that has a piece missing. Is it possible to have this repaired somehow?

If it were me,I'd go straight to the source. Give Prefix a call.

This. There wern't many of those cars made (with aero package) so I highly doubt that there are some laying around BUT you never know. Give them a call.

Thanks I have a call in to prefix. Surely they still have the capability to produce these. I might order two!

I wonder if the paint could be sanded off and just have it repainted. The carbon fiber seems to have not been damaged just the hard paint shell outer layerm

Easily repairable barring any underlying major damage that is not being shown. What cracked off is the resin overlay.

Some epoxy resin with micro balloons or cabo-sil and some paint will make it as good as new.

Here is some better photos. It appears the outer paint layer just chipped off as said above... If I'm missing anything here please let me know, CF appears fine other than some superficial scratches. I checked all the hardware and got under the car and nothing looks out of place. I guess I'll have an experienced body shop remove the splitter and do as described above, then reinstall? Seems like the best way, doesn't look hard to remove, just a few screws.

Up to you, but I would remove the splitter myself and carry it to the body shop....instead of taking the car. The splitter is easy to remove. I installed mine as per Prefix's instructions as the original owner opted not to have his installed.

Remove 6 phillips head screws (3 on each side of front lower wheel well opening)
Remove 2 hex bolts beneath the splitter where the cables connect.
Remove 4 hex bolts a little further back that attach to the frame.

That's it!

Good idea I still have the instructions from prefix as well it looked easy although mine was installed by wood house. Silly question but how did you get under the car without a lift? I can't see where to fit or put a jack.

look in your owners manual, or better yet get a service manual for your car.

You literally could save thousands of dollars during the ownership of your car in dealer bills by having one.

There are 4 jack points on the car. Each is indicated by a piece of "L" angle steel welded to the frame.

Then buy a manual......

I did mine on 4 post lift which was very helpful. However as Steve indicated, use the front jacking points which are just behind the front wheels (directly beneath the "Viper" emblem on the underside of the sills). Before I had a lift, I drove my car up onto a couple of small pieces of 2x6's which made it a bit easier to manage the jack placement. I also put a folded up rag in between the jack and welded steel jacking point to avoid metal to metal contact.
