Which year to buy?

Well I'm starting to look into buy one at some point next year and been wondering which year would be the best for me. I've been looking at maybe a 4 gen since it has 600hp but found out that the ecu can't be cracked for tuning. I really like the 3 gen as well but has 100hp less than the 4 gen. So I guess my question is which out of all the years if you had to do it again would you buy? My garage is looking lonely with my srt10 ram in it.

A supercharged Gen 3 Copperhead with a Gen 4 hood is next Viper for me.

I really like the gen 3 engine since it looks like more parts for it but I'm thinking I might just do bolt ons. Even then the 4 gen doesn't seem to have a lot except exhaust and a cai from what I can see. I was hoping on getting some members input as far as what can be done to a gen 4.

If you are looking to supercharge or twin turbo, gen 3. Bolt on's can be done to a gen 4. Also if you are looking for a coupe instead of a convertible, there will be more gen 4's to choose from. 2006 was the only year the coupe was available for a gen 3.

Yeah I'm looking for a coupe. I'm thinking just bolt ons for it and wouldn't go f/I. Did they offer a snake skin green in a 4th gen?

I think the number was 3.8% for 2008 and 2009. I don't think I have seen a number for 2010 production.
