I think the Gen V rocks! I would buy one in a heartbeat if I were looking to spend $100k. I've heard nothing but GREAT reviews from owners and my experience in sitting in one and feeling it out was very positive.

The car is NOT for everybody. I have owned 3 Vipers previously. After driving this new car I was not impressed at all in fact somewhat disappointed.

All due respect, but that's obvious. No car is for everybody. Plenty of cars that my friends own that I'm not impressed with, but they love them. So I let them enjoy them, but I don't repeatedly tell them all of the reasons why I'm disappointed in their choices.

I've owned 2 Vipers previously-and I am DAMNED impressed with my Gen V-I'm somewhat disappointed though in the negativity of supposed Viper lovers who can't see how incredible the Viper has become! All they seem to see is what it isn't-
keep your misery to yourself-have a nice day !!

Man, that's sweet. If by some miracle I have the funds, I'm hoping to pick up a Gen V ACR, if they make it. If not, a TA would be the ticket. What did you order?

Man am I glad I bought a Gen V. I'm even more glad that I don't give a tinker's damn what anyone else thinks about the V. My poor ol' 750 HP Gen II ACR has been doing plenty of garage time since I bought the V. Both cars are WAY fun..... just for different reasons. I don't think anyone who hasn't had at least a couple thousand miles of seat time in a V can understand that. That's OK too. Being the complete '**** that I am, I love all Vipers, Gen I through Gen V.

As my mom would say-he just needs to get l..d!!

Well if that's true, he's certainly in good company because there's been an epidemic of that around here :lmao:

Geez, I should talk...I've barely slept while waiting and watching for new Viper reviews to come out! Since they have I've been reading a seemingly endless stream of reviews and getting so excited about that orange TA that I still can't sleep!!! And now I'm stressing because I'm afraid if I don't rush right down to get it on order they'll all be sold out!!!!! So now I'm jammed up trying to decide between the white and the black as a fall back but what's the chance because there's only a 3rd as many of those ones even being made!!!! Jeez, I need to get l..d too...but better get that TA out of my mind first somehow :omg:

Not tonight dear...I have a migrane this month ;)

I couldn't sleep when I first ordered my Gen V. You'd think it gets better, but it actually doesn't. The final two weeks of waiting for my Gen V were like a euphoric sleepless torture, LOL. The anticipation.

Something to get you thinking even more Bruce. Teamtech makes a 6-point harness that was engineered specifically for the Gen V, and comes complete with a submarine strap bar that mounts to the seat studs. And the Sabelt seats have a slot in them to feed your submarine straps through. The transmission tunnel and rocker have lap belt mounting points, and the shoulder belts mount right to the frame. You don't need to mod anything, just bolt in the harness and off you go. Plus, the 6 point can co-exist with your factory 3 point, so you don't have to remove it. You install/remove portions of the 6 point when you're not at the track in about 5 minutes, I've heard. How do I know? I just bought one today, along with a Necksgen HANS-type device. These Vipers are track-ready like no other car.

Hey Venom=just got a 14 to go with the 13-trading my beloved 2010 to John at Roanoke because as the "Hog" said-waaay too much garage time for her-9500 miles for the 13 to 50 for the 10 in the last 6 months!
And to Mr. 09- 75 miles today in beautiful crisp 45 degree Jersey weather-doesn't get any better!! VOA in Detroit is a little too far- but hey-seeing as I can't seem to stop driving-you never know!! I WILL definitely see some of you

Excellent suggestion. A search found that you can even order these as a factory option included in the factory build! That's a no-brainer for track rats! I'll have to look into the Hans devices. Thanks

That's right. They can change the oil etc. Finding how far away is the closest authorized V dealer will factor into the final decision and cost. If enough 13s stay on the shelves into early 2014, the price for a base V may drop a tad, or maybe very low mileage used ones may start appearing. Right now my first goal is to just stand next to one.

Awesome. Post pics of both your rides! Damn, a few guys have already taken the plunge on two Gen V's. Your the second guy in a day that I've heard of that owns multiple Gen V's, the car brings out passion.

John Gastman is good people. My dealer, Paul Normandin, has a close working relationship with John and that's how I got my Stryker Red. John can get any flavor of Viper made, and he's honest and straight shooting.

For those that can sign up for the SRT access do it!!! This was my first time even seeing one in person. After driving the vehicle today I am hooked!!! I was very impressed and will definitely be upgrading in the near future. Great job on an extraordinary vehicle Dodge!!! :2tu:

I've said all along, if SRT can get asses in seats the cars will sell themselves.

Nice to hear!
