I just went to the local SRT dealer and looked at a few Gen V's in person. They had the launch edition, a yellow one with strips and a black and a gray one. They all looked amazing and I fell in love at first sight. I did not test drive them yet. I am planning to drive a Gen V on 12/12 at "All Access". All the colors looked stunningly beautiful, but the GTS blue was my favorite. When I got home today, I made a decision to sell my 2008 Roadster (just posted) and buy a Gen V. Am I crazy?

For now, only interested in GTS blue or possibly the 2014 orange TA.

No, the car is fantastic. Shame so many "Viper Lovers" endlessly hate on it.

Once you drive it, you'll love it even more.

Everytime I walk past mine in my garage now that intimate weather is out, it saddens me!

I'd be cautious on the TA though if you plan on driving it more than tracking

Are you going to the one in Anaheim? I will be there at 4.

I'm in love with the GenV too but I'm torn between having the car in my garage vs the money in the bank.:D

Awesome. You've been bitten. The venom will take over your heart, there's no turning back now ;-)
Looking forward to your impressions after you get behind the wheel.

I apologize for me positive comments on Gen V. Please forgive me.

Zee,
I will be at Anaheim at 1 pm at SRT Access. Can't wait.

V10enomous,
Life is too short. What are you going to do with all the money in the bank when you can't enjoy it anymore. I say go for it if you can afford it.

You will not regret the upgrade to the Gen V from Gen IV .. I did it and the only thing missing for me is the six vent hood..otherwise everything else is better...Unfortunately SRT got it wrong by only allowing the 2 vent hood on the GTS, otherwise it would be perfect.

The Launch edition is striking and the interior is phenomenal..after 7 months I am still finding and learning the considerable tech options
on the performance pages via the instrument cluster and Nav screen.. Its nice to have a Viper that instantly recognizes your phone and starts playing tunes and answers your calls among other things hands free...

The Gen V Launch edition is an incredible combination of performance and luxury for the price...but of course I am Bias.
Good luck selling your car.. I traded mine in and reaped some substantial sales tax savings on the difference..

I drove the car to Sebring this past weekend and it was a pleasure and a Blast to drive ...my wife loved it too...

Yes, I did go to Huntington Beach Dodge and they do have one at a great price. I just have to sell my Gen 4 first. Let me know if you guys know anyone looking for a Gen 4 roadster.
