Mark Pfeffer at MVP Tracktime has a 3-day track event planned for January 31- February 2. at

CIRCUIT OF THE AMERICAS in Austin, Texas (not a typo...!!!)

There are a couple openings left and I wanted to let other viper track heads know before it goes public.

This is for "Advanced" level drivers only..!

You can contact Mark at [email protected]

Or...

314-249-3770 by phone

It's not cheap though ....$1375.00 for three days....

But, I can tell you by personal experience, this F-1 track is like no other track in the 18+ tracks across the US that I have been to....!

Its a "Bucket List" thing for any Track nut....IMO

You must be registered for see images attach

$1400.00 for 3 days of driving?.....in my book that would be a bargain because of the venue. I wish I was closer to that track. I can only imagine what the cost is going to go up to in the spring or fall track season.

What is classified as "Advanced" level? Solo qualified? Fast times at other tracks? I know a few Houston area members that might be interested, including myself. Thanks-

Treesnake, thanks for the heads up, sounds like a great time. Can you send your guy to SoCal with his stacker trailer and tow mine to Austin? (back too). Best wishes! Mike

Mark at MVP would be better qualified to answer this but the usual criteria are;
-If you have 20-30+ track days.
-You would be solo qualified and/or hold a racing license.

There will be some race teams here and definitely some very fast cars and drivers.

Mark is a great guy. You might give him a call.....

I would love to....:D

I had plans to head out your way this Spring. Unfortunately I am having knee replacement surgery and had it rescheduled for the day after we get back from COTA. Probably be down for a while....:(
Hopefully next year...!

For most tracks Advanced level means a RED (wrist band) level where green is solo novice and yellow is an intermediate. As said above its usually also for those with an SCCA or higher license and considerable track time.

Will they be using timing? Grid by times? Multiple run groups or open track all three days all day? Hope you can reschedule your surgery!

There will be 4 "equal" run groups. Not sure if we will be running 20-30 minute sessions.

Mark (MVP) checks out the drivers skill level before they can register. I remember he kicked a couple drivers
out last year that stretched the truth a little regarding their ability and/or knowledge of track protocol. ....

Not sure if we will be 20 or 30 minute sessions......

Thanks, I was able to reschedule the surgery.
I will be the guy hobbling around the paddock with the big smile....:D
