Wow.

Just bouncing back and forth from the VOA site to this one, and gee ****.

Some of the bickering and ugly comments that used to be such a problem here, is now looking like it's going on over there now.

Whatever.
I am not trolling, or trying to start some stupid crusade, or raise any eyebrows, or step on anybody's toes, or wave any flags for either camp.
Just making an observation and posting it.

I am not intending this as anything -good or bad.

.....................but, wow.

What happened to the *** of gold at the end of the rainbow where there is no sadness in the glory of the promised land?
I thought there were only blue sky and sunshine in the new world.

.........I just can't wait til the 2014 track season starts. ;)

Frankly, whatever is going on on any other site should no longer concern us. All of the past events, although brutal, has provided a new and positive direction for the VCA. Attention should be directed to make this club continue and provide the quality experience we as a club want.

I believe you are misinformed...I don't see anything you suggest "going on over there".
It seems to have calmed down on this site as well. Pure emotion took over a lot of people, myself included.
Hopefully both clubs will do well.

Agreed, we do not relish in any issues "over there", as long as Viper owners have a blast (all of us), then we're good. I will say this, anyone can promise anything, the proof is in the pudding. That applies doubly here, if we don't do our jobs here as a board to make our members happy, and we make promises we don't keep, we should be fired, period.

Yes, come on good weather!

I just realized that a lot of us Viper guys (those of that use our cars as a source of stress relief and therapy) may be a little grouchy and on edge as a result of the cold weather keeping us from driving.
As the season changes, I think everyone will be more positive. :)

Don't know about the rest of us, but I will be watching my radar detector too as Allan is sooooo right about those of us the use our "cars as a source of stress relief and therapy". I am certainly one of those. While I try to always "take it to the track" for this, I might not make it all the way there before needing my Valentine 1, and the track isn't really that far!

Come on Sunshine.....

Agree with you 100%! We are working very hard to take the VCA in a positive direction, as can be ascertained by our recent communications of progress we've made in the short time we've been the VCA ***. We want to work FOR our members, and so any suggestions/recommendations/comments any member has, we want to hear them and do our best to provide the quality experience we all want in this VCA club!

I'm going to TWS this weekend, and CoTA in 3 weeks. Tracking all year long in the great state of Texas! Sorry.

Maybe the new By-Laws should require everyone planning on making a negative post, to first take a 30 minute ride in their Viper.

This would reestablish a more positive frame of mind, and put things back into perspective.

(obviously kidding here, but…)

Still like the idea that the New VCA is taking a pretty open view, and looking at things from a fresh perspective. Does not mean they need to make a bunch of changes, but the openness is most evident.

MtnBiker,

Please post more of this track stuff or pm me. Would love to join you at CoTA and TWS (with a bit more notice - where is TWS exactly? - new to TX) weather permitting of course.

Going to MSR this friday with another Viper friend. Havent' been to the track since end of June when I drove Lagua Seca with a bunch of Viper friends. Move from CA to TX plus the VCA work has keep me busy this fall.

Normally track a bunch in the fall and winter, but that was in CA.

The 30 minute drive would fix the negative problem.

This might be my first post in this forum...
Paul, I LOVE your idea about the new By-Laws! A 30 minute ride before the planning g of a negative post!
But what I like even more! The FUN seams to be back. It is so great to read and laugh!
Thanks for making me laugh!

Hi Allan, One negative post in far from representative of the site. A negative post earned or not is a reflection of the poster and not the site.

I drove the new car and love it.

I don't understand that on either site.
I think the gen V is killer.

I am having to restrain myself from buying one.
