A few Viper went through BJ today, a 99 ACR with DRM 1000hp sold for 58,000 + 10% seller fee. It had under 10,000 miles on it. Black/Silver

A Red/White 02 with a wing, aftermarket hood with vents in the center and bumpier with the driving light went for 75k plus 10%. I am not sure if this was a special model or just an 02 with aftermarket, hood, bumper and wing. It also had stickers all over it.

Anybody else see these go through? What are your thoughts?

the BJ web site has a description of these two cars. Apparently the 02 GTS is a 1 of 10 GTS"R" that was made for the street to commemorate the viper's 2000 24 hr race at Daytona. pretty cool viper.

Wow, that car went cheap then, even with the buyers fee at 82,500 it seems pretty reasonable.

Seems the only people making money are Barret and Jackson with 8 to 10% coming from the seller and another 10% coming from the buyer. Not to mention all the fees, price of admission and vendors etc...

That would be an excellent observation.

This is not an "Official" 2002 GTS R - It is a look a like. Wood House & Auto Form were to build these
units. No real History.

As much as I like to see big numbers for the cars I own at any of these auctions (circuses) Barrett bidders seem to be the type that have to prove, my check book is bigger than yours. These people have more dollars than sense. Definetly not market value

. These people have more dollars than sense.

I'd say that describes just about every Viper owner if you are looking at us from a certain social strata. I'd say that includes anyone that takes a perfectly serviceable car and adds forced induction to it? How fast does one need to get to the grocery store anyway? LOL.

That 99 ACR was very nice!!! Not a bog fan of the red 02 though.

I used to own the '02 FE (#270), Daytona24 (#7). Wished I had her back. Disagree somewhat with Mr. Barba. Commemorative cars built in series seem to bring bigger prices. Their history is that they were made in the first place making them more exclusive.

I thought the real story at BJ was the L-88 Corvette that sold for 3.85 mil. That's a lot of money.

I tend to agree with you! I am real...and I have history... It took a lot of meetings, deals, molds, patterns and hard work to make those cars happen... ten times from this small shop. I do however, think Frank needs to go down in history for the first "almost" Snake Skin Green car! :)

Mr. AF....Never have i doubted your work not for one instance. As far as i'm concerned your Top Notch, from the GEN 1 Race Car Built, to your fabulous One of Customs.
I have done business with you many times over the previous years, with no complaints. "FJ5Limelight", funny but i miss that car, now theres a car with lots of pedigree.

LOL..No worries old friend...I do sometimes miss those early days and those crazy things we all did trying to get those old cars around
the track.
