My Gen III is Silver with stock rims that have been black powder coated with new Super Pilot sport tires. Never been in the rain and garage kept every night. 21,500 miles, never been on the track. Dealership changed all fluids last year including differential.
A few small scratches but otherwise in very good condition. What is a reasonable trade in value? Wholesale? Retail? at the current market? I see prices all over the place but I would like to know what has been sold recently without being marketed for a long period of time. Thank you for any insight.

To me it seems like retail's magical $ is right ~ 40k on a gen 3 with ~ 20k miles. So trade in 35k-37k. Possibly lower to a place like carmax or something like that.

Thats what i was AVG when i took it to dealers last year in July, mine was 04 Mamba Edition with 40k. I just posted on Cars, autotrader, and ebay. I found a buyer that was offering for way more then anywhere for 40K+.

Frankly your best bet on a 04 Salvage is to pass. Most Banks will not finance and almost always folks find surprises and end up having close to what a clean titled car would be. Plus the issue is many feel it is worth maybe only a bit more than half - after it is fixed.

Probably about 20k in current condition. Spend a little more and get a repaired one or one without damage. Unless you know what you're doing...

Any way you slice it it will always have a salvage title! I would pass on it.

That's about what I was figuring myself. It's why I'm probably just going to drive the s%$# out of my 2003, as I'm already at 31,000.

Have fun with it, no better way to spend your money :D. Bought my 04 with 43k and am 200 miles away from 64k after 13 months of ownership. Weather doesn't bother me, if I can see the concrete I'm driving it. The recent snowstorm here kept it off the road for about 2 weeks, but I'm back on the road with it now. Have to be careful with sand and cold temps, but as long as you pay attention and don't do anything stupid it drives like a normal car. I've been under it plenty of times and it still looks like new with just the wipe of a rag. There's not much on the car that can corrode and I try to wash it every week or so just to keep the gunk from building up.

Yep, I drive mine in the cold, as long as the roads are clear and dry. Unfortunately, they have NOT been for weeks, we've been having snow and ice once or twice a week here in Philadelphia. The Viper has never sat for more than 4 weeks at a time since I"ve owned it (April 2010), but I am at about a month now, and counting. I managed to get the SRT8 out two weeks ago, to get a new battery, and now she has been sitting as well. I HATE winter!

I didn't realize how much I missed mine until I finally got back in the saddle this week. Something about driving cars that you can't hear the exhaust just gets to me. I like to know my engine is running, lol. If the car doesn't shake and drown out the stereo I think something's wrong.
