Just put in new plugs and new plug wires hands finally stopped bleeding so I could post this without messing up the keyboard wires are from Aurora in Canada they had an impressive web site saying how great their wires work they're about $120 delivered hope its not all BS so far so good

That was the longest sentence I've seen in a long time. Plugs and wires are easy on these cars. Especially if you remove the windshield cowl

Brent, you need to add the word 'relatively' to your EASY statement. That last one on each side can be a biotch! Still, replacing the wires should not be avoided as carrying the power you need to a sensitive engine can make all the difference in the world. I've found that removing the heat shield and plug shields on my Gen II made it much easier. I added in nomex shields on the wires when I removed the stock heat shields from the headers and wires. Been doing fine with that setup for 3 years now. I'm running GTSR wires (they came with the car), but Ab's wires have been what everyone turns to for many years!

he used a 12.5 long one for each to test. The lower the number the better the wire.

stock LS1 6 in. - 351 ohms

the wires I took off were magnecor 10mm and I threw them away I do think the spark is better to the plugs because they are lighter in color now
