Welcome to the TA pack. Great choice! Once you have had a chance to drive her a bit post your impressions.

08viperviolet I agree on the orange Carbon fiber contrasts a lot better with the lighter color.but I was worried I would get tired of it.

yes liked the black on ACR but on the gen V I think it looses a lot of the lines and carbon accents are a little lost that is why I went with the orange ta. Enjoy your new toy.

Congratulations! Lots of ACR guys coming over. Is there any temptation to have a driver's stripe on this one also? Tough job picking a TA color. I like to way the carbon stands out on the orange and white...but I also like the way it's so subtle an accent on the black:dunno: And just to make it harder the black will be the toughest to keep clean on the street...and easiest at the track! Can't even flip a coin to decide between the 3 :omg: But the black TA is definitely stunning!

I've promised myself to not buy yet another black viper, but man .. that thing is so menacing. Congrat's, I'd say enjoy, but how could you not.

Black is stealthy and threatening. Multiple people have called me Batman or the car "the Batmobile" based on the recent Batman movies. In person, the lines of the car are far more visible than it appears in most of the posted photos. But the TA in any color is a great car.

Just drove it home. Think I'm in love! Car drives better than it looks!

I've owned my Gen V for 6 months now, and to my surprise I like it more every day. I was expecting the usual honeymoon period that wears off over time. Not with the Viper. As I drive it to romantic getaways with my lady or hit a new track, I fall for it a little deeper.

Congrats, carpe diem!

Congrats on the black TA. Both black and orange TA's are stunning, white isn't so bad either. Well any TA is GREAT...:headbang:Enjoy the car in good health.

Just saw it in person yesterday and pictures don't do it justice. My dream car, like FLL said the best production Viper Ever produced.

Congrats! Coming from a 10 ACR and wondering how they compare. I am thinking about a T/A.

Congrats! Coming from a 10 ACR and wondering how they compare. I am thinking about a T/A.
I only have 67 miles on TA but from what I've seen so far it's a significant jump. Less weight more power! You can feel it even though I
haven't been over 4k in rpm. In track mode the ride is similar to my ACR, in street mode the TA feels more relaxed. I don't track so I'll
leave that comparison to others, but I put a lot of miles on my vipers I had 24k on my ACR I expect I'll put a lot more on this car. Never was a gadget Guy but love the touchscreen in this car seems easy to use with a lot of good info. Wouldn't seem to be useful in a track car but I am not the one to ask about that. Fit and finish is light years ahead of the GenIV and the car doesn't seem to have as many rattles and noises, it seems tighter but it is a new car! Interior is amazing, the TA or SRT is a significant upgrade inside over previous cars while still feeling and looking like a Viper. Steering wheel radio buttons etc. are the same buttons found in my wrangler. I assume other pieces were stolen from other lines as well. I have always liked the rawness of the Viper and I worried about the GenV being to plush and refined. The car is a significant improvement over past cars but still retains the rawness and brutishness that I love about the Viper. If I had wanted a Cadillac I would have bought a Corvette!

I haven't had a chance to detail the paint but the paint doesn't look like Viper paint! I couldn't find orange peel runs etc. when the paint is properly detailed I think it will be amazing! The reflections I was getting on our only day of sunshine were crisp and clear, unfortunately I think someone cleaned the dust off at some point so there are light swirls here and there. Panel fit is very good and doors hatch and hood fully close with little effort. From the rear the car looks like it's all tire. In other words it looks like a Viper! Buy it you won't regret it!
