Looking for aTWO car trailer to go to VOI in September. My buddy and i are planning to tow from southern NJ two vipers down to TX. Any suggestions? If someone has one we can definetely make arrangements to rent it out. Thank you in advance. Dennis

That could be a difficult thing to arrange but hope it works out. Have you considered just loading them up on Reliable Transport or similar company for the round trip? Less hassle and makes it an easier long drive. Glad you are also attending the VOI.

In previous years VCA has arranged enclosed transportation from all over the USA to get cars to and from the VOIs. Details become more available as things get closer.

Might be another option for you.

I towed to Nashville and I shipped the car to texas and flew in to meet it. Much better shipping and flying, made for a very enjoyable trip.

steve who did you use for shipping and how far in advace you called them. my worries is that the shipper would not be there on time. flying in makes a ton of sence and shiiping the car.

While driving a Viper, with a bunch of buddies to a VOI is an experience in itself, some do not have the time available to make this happen.

The fly and drive experience is also pretty cool. You have your Viper picked up near your house, it is tucked inside an insured and enclosed van with a bunch of other Vipers and taken directly to the venue. You fly in, take a cab to the event, and pick up your clean and ready to go Viper. I usually put the clothes I will need at the event in the car, so I do not need to slep them around the airports.

After the event, you take your dirty car back to the truck. Put all your dirty clothes, and what ever you will be buying from the vendors inside, and off it goes, back to where you dropped it off. You take a cab back to the airport, and sleep on the way home. Makes you feel like a rock star.

When you pick up your car, give it a quick wash, and you are good to go for the next event.

Yep, exactly what he said.

If I remember, the recommended shipper was innercity? It was whoever the recommended shipper for the VOI was at the time. Someone can correct me if I am wrong.

Consider shipping one way and driving the other. For the VOI in Charlotte NC I shipped it there from Nor Cal and we drove back over a 6 day period, great experience

Ditto on shipping it there and driving back. Passport took great care of our cars and had GPS so we could track the progress. Nice and clean for VOI and then drive back.

Since the Fodor races will be held the weekend before VOI, some will be going down early to take in the GTS-R races (at COTA) then hang out a couple days in either San Antonio or Austin. Make a week of it, and it would be a hoot to be driving on COTA just a few days after watching the big boys on the same track. Would be a blast to join SRT in the winning circle, and getting splashed with some Viper Victory Champagne.

I would hope the SRT drivers would be able to hang in Texas for a couple days, and make an appearance at the VOI. They would be treated like the hero's they are.

it is not around the corner afterwards 1600 miles one way. if it was a lot closer no problem. great idea but in reality you will need to be prepared for anything that can possibly happen and space is very limited in the car as you already know. not saying that it is not fun but i enjoy my viper in small dozes, just like sipping good wine and not drinking the whole bottle. appreciate the suggestion, though. shipping and flying makes most sense.
