question about lowering GenV gts

Ive been searching around and cannot get a clear answer online. Can a gen5 GTS be fitted with a moton coil-over set up and retain suspension adjustability?

Not sure completely following you question as far as adjustability. Moton (or newer MCS) can be applied to a gen5. all their adjustments are through remote canisters, top of shock and then of course ride height. If you are asking if it can connect to the suspension button on the dash, answer is no.

Yes I was talking about the factory adjustablity as in the button on the dash. Ok now that we cleared this up, is the only way to retain that option would be to use Eibach springs? Can any GTS owners that are running Eibachs chime in and reffer to the ride vs stock? I'm currently running penske coilovers on my Gen 3 as my car rode like **** with Eibachs.

Im trying to find out if going to a moton setup would be a step backwards on a GTS car as far as ride quality.

Well, I can only give this as my experience. My gen3 with MCS suspension when set to soft settings rides a little smoother than my GTS in street setting, but on the stiffest settings runs a little stiffer than the GTS in race mode. btw, I would recommend MCS over Motons now.

Great info! Are you running the MCS set up with or without reservoirs?

with. Mark Jorgenson can give the best info as I know they have done many

OK thanks for the info. Im running penskes with as well. Heard a lot of good things about the MCS system without the reservoirs as well. Ill check with mark.

i have a coupe and have a MCS suspension. my car is lowered 1/2 an inch. i can't image you would retain the dual ride when changing out the suspension

The MCSwill ride better than anything out there and increase overall grip on a bumpysurface over any stock or aftermarket suspension. You will lose the ability toadjust on the fly, but once set up for the best handling (not always thestiffest setting is the best) the ride will still be better. For most streetonly cars or limited track use the new single adjustable non-remotes will workgreat, but if you are a TA owner or a regular track guy the double, triple or 4way MCS are better suited for those customers. All the MCS shocks employ theirpatented bypass technology that decreases sharp impacts (high speedcompression) that with most shocks have the tire bouncing over and loosingcontact with the road where as the MCS maintain contact and control.

They arethe only company other than the old Motons that use this system, most othershock makers will not spend the time, money or resources packaging it intotheir shocks. Although MCS are a little more than their competitors they offerthings that the others cannot, one of them being the very best customer servicein the business.

Love to hear feedback from owners that have lowered their GTS with Eibachs. I used Eibachs on my Gen 4 and loved the look. The Gen 5 needs to be lowered. Thanks
