i know this is a super old thread, but i'm fighting this battle now. the link no longer works, did anyone save the page DAMN YANKEE posted with his EXCELLENT instructions? i used the proper PS pulley and it still chipped off half the lip it was latched on to.

BTW... All you need is a generic power steering pulley puller.... You can get a loaner at many auto parts shops. Pep Boys, Advance Auto, Autozone, etc. etc.
Did mine in about an hour including the replacement of the bracket.
Got my bracket and Pulley from IPSCO. His instructions are spot on so doing it is easy. He even shows you photos of the types of puller to use. This is really a breeze.

Dremel with cutoff wheel seems a little more surgical, LOL !
Agreed. But those Dremel cutoff blades are very thin and brittle; they shatter easily the moment you put any side pressure on them. My experience anyway trying to cut enough relief cuts in the metal pulley hub to free it from the shaft.

I broke away the whole plastic pulley, then cut off the metal hub with a small hacksaw, rotating the shaft very slowly so I could cut from the front of the hub to the back, ( I did not have pullers available) Then as other posters have said, when I was almost through to the shaft, I inserted a flat head screwdriver into the saw blade gap and split off the hub.
