Guys,

I've got two of these decal sets I was going to list on eBay and wanted your opinions on what they are worth. They are in mint shape with no "yellowing" at all. They are 100% complete and in the original box. Only one I opened to take pictures of the contents.

Thanks

Okay, Ill chime in here. While these decals look okay, and seem to be in excellent shape, the adhesives have a shelf life. These would be great to add to a car (in the trunk the way they were delivered) for collectability or to save for a future collectible but to purchase to use as an istalled set of decals, these would be a bad choice. the problem is the adhesive on the back of the decal is aging and the adhesive on the face (the release side) will be aged as well. Just this weekend i installed a set of Trans-Am decals on a 1979 Pontiac Trans-Am I am doing a restoration on. These were a "new"set of decals from Phoenix Graphics and with the short age on these the release face covering would not release. They are being replaced under warranty but these decals are a newly produced set and still had issues.

These might be okay, but I would not chance selling them for use on a car, the liabilityof a bad adhesion could be too high. If somone wants a set to dress their car, JonB Parts rack did have these reproduced very accurately and I am not sure if he has any left but they were excellent quality. You might check with Jon what his price for the newer set would be.

You rarely see these come up with the box.. And Mopar Steve makes a good point. But lets face it, no one is going to put these on, the same way no one is going to start driving a 96 with super low miles. They will sit in a box and be part of collection for someone.

Being these are original with original box, (call me crazy) I've seen these 500-700. A few on ebay have SOLD in that range.

I think the repro's are in the 300 ballpark.. But to someone with a 96 that really wants these. I think they'd be willing to pay at least 500 for this set.

Well I think I'm going to take a stab and list them on eBay and see what happens. I'm hoping that the complete set in the org box make them worth something. If you guys know of anyone that has some interest please let me know.
