At least that's som help. Be thankful you didn't come upon the guy in the act. You might be headed to prison.

Very sorry glad you are ok. That person must be insane, glad they were gone when you saw it. Just move on, good luck with the repairs. Be safe.

Dude .. I am speechless ... Very sorry for your loss. Get fingerprints off the car ... and then like Stallone said in Expendables 2..... "Track'em ... Find'em ... Kill'em".

My thoughts on the membership crap is probably a gang related thing. Have you considered getting the car to Prefix for an entire re paint as they are known for outstanding work. Very sorry to hear this.

I have been in law enforcement for 17 years and that is the worst case of criminal mischief to a car that I have ever seen...My god...

That was my initial thought also. There is youth gang activity in South Florida and doing a particular deed is frequently required to obtain membership. But Wayne, in a post above says that it does not say "membership". It could still be gang related and maybe some of the symbols etched into the car, as a poster mentioned above, are clues and maybe known to the local police gang unit or gang task force.

I think that from a resale standpoint, having the car painted at Prefix would be a plus. At least if it was a private sale vs. a trade-in. Of course, if it is done by a well known local company and documented, it should be fine also.

Exactly what I thought, too.

Holy moly. Incredible. Person was definitely drunk or on drugs or something. My goodness!

But this is life unfortunately, so now the plan must be how to move forward. I assume you have it fully insured, so:

1) Push insurance to scrap the car and get a new one? Especially now with the reduced prices on the 15's.
or
2) Push insurance that it can only be sent to Prefix for a new paint job! They're the experts and will perfect it! Ever want one of the stryker colors?! Ever want that extra little touch?!

Move forward - think of mods...

Would it Make sense to watch the non-member views on this thread?

So you believe it said "membership" on the side of the car too. What makes me think that this was NOT a random act is that the ZR1 parked next to it was untouched. The perp obviously didn't know it was JETSTAR's.

Uh, no - he meant that if people are viewing to see the reactions to the damage that was done could have been the perpetrator.

Looks like it took a lot of time to do carve that $hit into the car. The person was either wasted and oblivious, or there were other people keeping watch while he did the artwork. If it was anybody who had sense enough to check out the forums for a reaction...they would have put somebody up to the task and had no part in it themselves. My opinion.

Real sorry that happen! When we by a car like this it usually means some to you. Maybe the insurance company will let you change the paint to some thing different. I also go along seeing membership. It also looks like "something, CLUB pr1" on the right rear. I hope they get who ever did this. The person sure had it out for the car. What a time we live in.

***** to have this happen but I think anyone parking a car like the viper in some public area should make sure they park it in the line of sight of a security camera. In addition to that, you may want to consider buying some mini HD cameras that record constantly while the car is parked, or have some kind of motion-sensing feature that triggers recording. The cameras can also be handy if you're ever in an accident.

Hope you can find whoever is responsible. It is likely that he will do this again to someone else.

I think the conspiracy theories on this thread and subtle insinuations are ridiculous... There are plenty of ******* kids or people that do **** like this out of sheer jealousy and envy. There is an entire subculture of dregs on the system that all they do is commit crime and blame other for their situations in life and hate people that have nice things. These people are called Democrats and voted for Obama..twice..
