I have a classic Mustang that I have collectors insurance on and it is very, very cheap ($240 year) and the car is worth about 50K. My Gen 3 was also insured under a "hobbyist" policy and it was about $800 per year full coverage 300/100K limits. There were requirements like keeping in locked garage, not commuting and mileage limitations that were easily met by me. That company is not insuring any new cars at this time. I have my Gen V on order so I was checking with my everyday driver cars policy and they want $2K additional. Does anyone have a company I can call for a quote or is that going to be about the average premium? Thank you.

For what its worth- I have my 69 Mach 1 428cj insured through American Collectors Ins. agreed value 50K and they are only charging me $220/year- full coverage 100K/300K, with spare parts coverage and no deductible. Give them a try at renewal.

Grundy here with 95K agreed value policy on Gen V TA for $995.00 yearly with $500.00 deductible.
Hagerty was literally double that, they're insane.

I use American Modern--pay $2200 for all 4 cars with agreed value totaling 240K for all 4 cars. That's with 500k/500k coverage--Dave

Just got a quote from grundy for $10K per year for 4 cars, vs Geico which is $1,600 per year for the same with the same coverage on the same cars. Guess I'm sticking with the lizard...

Update on my application with Grundy: As I stated earlier, they sent a response "that they weren't writing policies for the chosen vehicle". I called and asked why not and it was because I accidentally hit a box saying a driver under 25 would be using the vehicle. I told them that was an error and they sent a quote which was less than $1000 with few limitations so by far Grundy is the best deal I can find. Thanks for the advice and if I ever get delivery I will buy some insurance. I can't get an answer from dealer if there is even a build date set for the car. Ordered at the end of January- the first day the order bank opened. I hope the GTC lives up to their hype about keeping you informed on the build- they sure the hell keep you in the dark on a SRT!

What?! I have 6 cars with grundy. Mostly vipers. 4k/yr.

Something's not right.
I have Grundy for my TA and for my Gallardo SL and its less than $2500.00 a year and there is agreed value of 95K and 160K on them respectively.

Grundy denied my policy as well because I had less than four
cars being covered. I ended up going with one of their spin-
off divisions PHLY. Grundy still underwrites the policy which
I do not understand, but in the end I got my 100/300 for
$602/yr on my GTS. No mile limits, no race coverage.

So far I've been happy with them.
