What tracks are located in Southern CA. Looking at moving to SDC. Won't have to
worry about smog...just looking to go racing....

Frank, Willow Springs has a great reputation, and then up near Bakersfield there is Buttonwillow. Believe there is an infield portion so folks can run at Fontana, and there is another course out east of Palm Springs - probably about three years old, called Chuckwalla - if I remember correctly. Heard they are building a private , country club track in Palm Springs , but can't remember the name exactly - will google it.

Thermal Club Plots sell for $460,000 to $800,000. Budget at least another $1 million for a villa chosen from one of five templates, or design and build your own. Then add the one-time membership fee of $85,000 and $19,200 in annual dues.

Whoa hold on there Mr. P. I was going to move to California to take advantage of those low housing costs
along with land..I wish i could afford something like that, but out of my range...I'm looking at some sort of
being removed from the Day to Day rat race....Maybe grow grapes....If that works then i'll be in touch.

If i do end up moving it will be great to meet new faces and racers.

Chuckwalla Valley Raceway is in Desert Center, CA is about the same distance as Willow Springs (Rosamond CA). The Viper guys like WSR because it lets them get a lot of speed. CSR is a fairly new track. It is in the middle of nowhere; but, it is a nice layout although it has lots more turns which is what I like. Both have lots of opportunities to drive them. CSR is a member track, and is probably pretty reasonable due to its remoteness. They also do public track days through there own outfit, "Star CarsSports" and that is typically 5-6 sessions each day on a weekend and is usually lightly attended, with one open passing group and one point by. Speedventures, West Coast Racing, San Diego Porsche Club, BMW Club, NASA, VARA, and others have public events at the tracks. Also, there are events at AutoClub Speedway.

You must be moving to the sticks, Low housing costs and land? The SoCal I know of isn't cheap. Let me in on the secret......

Special tax incentives for agriguculture based business. Think the most profitable is growing grapes for the numerous vinyards in the area.

Biggest problem for the future is locking in water sources for irrigation. Many are changing out their avocado groves for wine specific grapes.

Near San Diego, Bonsall or Fallbrook are interesting areas, but no specific details for you.

Grapes maybe, Transport cars (can definitely do) since GA left the area for overseas there is a need
i have a freightliner Sport Chassis and a hauler that will fit 2 cars....I do know that i will have a few chickens
for eggs and meat, cow for beef, goat to keep the brush back, find a great fishing spot and i'll be set. i will look into
the tax incentives for agg based business.

If you're looking for a more rural setting, you can definitely save money buying a place outside the major metro areas. My personal opinion is NorCal has the best tracks (Laguna Seca, Sonoma, Thunderhill and Buttonwillow). NorCal probably has better fishing (salt and freshwater), hunting, etc.

There is a dire need for a good exotic car transport company. Too many have had issues/damages with the big boys that use full sized semi trailers to haul 6 plus cars at a time. Just working the west coast will keep you busy full time.
