The Vette guys are hopping mad! For the record, if they have the wherewithall to do this to a Viper, by all means have it guys... I predict this will get more press this week, how fun!

At least they picked a car that wasn't all that valuable. I'd feel bad if they picked a really nice one.

Yea that car was a donor car, it cost $1500 and didn't run... So it was more about blowing something up than real "destruction" of a good car... Last year we blew up a scooby doo van that was a real rust bucket...

Yes we did! I have been firing back at the "Vette's can beat the Viper where it counts on the tracks" comments and letting all the idiotic ones slide. Chevy fan boys think the Vette is better so I give them the GTS-R results, the TUDOR results from last year, the Track Records set by Vipers, and this latest drag strip tested article I found:

The Viper looks better, can beat a new supercharged Z06 while naturally aspirated, and has WAY more exclusivity and exotic appeal. Why would anybody want to blow up a lowly ass Corvette and plunge the superior Viper into some kind of comparative competition? Looked like a lot of fun at that last get together...$hit, I would have spent all my time there driving a bulldozer if possible. BUT, blowing up a Corvette did nothing but make the Corvette look good and give them press. It makes us look like ****** canoes.

I guess I'm a ****** canoe, as this was SOOO much better than the scooby van from last year... The car didn't run, who cares, and oh BTW, Chrysler nuked several before this (VOis). Love ya Free, but you're wrong on this one.

Those guys on Top Gear Blew up a C-4 with an armed helicopter while it was driving unmanned in the desert somewhere years ago.

I would have no problem blowing up a brand new ZO6...

Talk about more press! I just went through a number of the web sites that are now carrying this story in one way or another and it's AMAZING that such a simple prank can get so many ******* in a ***.
