Just bought a 2000 SRT/10 and am very excited. It's being delivered from AR to NJ next week. I'll be needing both air bags and possible new carpet.
I've owned 6 Corvettes, this is my 1st Viper. I'm used to the parts magazines but am finding parts for Vipers are much harder to come by.
Any suggestions on where to get these parts?
thanks
Will post pics as soon as I can....

Looks like we are covering the nation, from New Jersey, to Houston, to the San Francisco Bay Area, I took delivery of my 2000 RT/10 in March, over the last half century I've owned everything from a 300SL Gullwing to Corvettes and others but chose my Gen II Viper over a very low mileage Gen IV Viper sitting next to it in a showroom because of the sculptured styling, I think the Gen I is destined to become a classic and the Gen II is a much more practical version that retained while improved upon the styling. In the recent video of the new ACR there was a point being made of trying to recreate the sculptured look of the original Viper.

RT/10! My mistake! thank you.
I learn quickly.
Thank you, Cigar, I just sold a 2008 Corvette Z06 and had a 1990 ZR1 and can't wait to drive this Viper being delivered next week.
Thanks you, Morketh; I've bookmarked those sites.
My plan is to either buy the new OZ racing rims or paint the originals gloss black (plasti-dip); haven't decided yet....

Yes, that's the one!
Here it is...
There is excess play in the steering so I'm off to find the steering box....

Before you leave to find the steering box, be sure to turn off the exterior garage light and put the dog taking a dump in your front yard inside the house. When you get back, be sure and clean up the garage so you can park the car in the front yard in it and fix the mailbox that is listing hard starboard....:D

Recieved bad news today: the car needs a new timing chain cover as the current one is cracked and leaking oil badly. :(
So I need a new cover, gasket, oil seal, etc and a torque wrench. I do have a pulley puller...

I ordered a lower steering column assembly too ($190).
Both air bags on order as well as the service manual.
I need a new hood support as the hood doesn't even stay up.
I have so much work to do!

I have the TQ wrench..I can help you out with it when it comes in.

Also PEPboys has a tool rental program, I rented the harmonic balancer puller and installer several times from them. I figured the timing chain cover was cracked from the front impact...Might as well clean the radiator and do the water pump, Thermostat and do the power steering pulley and bracket while your in there..
I also have the service manuals..

Well, I decided to get started. I ordered all the parts needed and removed the hood and air box tonight.
Is there a limit to the size of pics I can upload?
