Pete, I agree to a point.

I think the big money Vipers will be limited to those that have provenance. Not just any provenance, but provenance that ties that Viper to something special. In that next 20 years, none of us really know what that will be. The low production runs and low production model years should prove to be interesting too. Hope I live long enough to see the Viper become that Holy Grail car. With that said, I think there are a number of Vipers that are already Holy Grail cars, the Barrett Jackson world just isn't smart enough to see it

I think everyone goes through the phase of wanting multiple Vipers. After 10 years I still get the itch to get another one from time to time. The main reason I don't is that if I were going to tie up more money in another car, why not get something else. This way you can have a different driving experience.

I have wanted an R8 for a while, however, Kid 2 and Kid 3 came along and crushed that reality.
This. All Vipers pretty much give the same driving experience. If you have the $$, enjoy a different ride

Buy a bunch of Vipers if you love to drive them. Pool your cash and buy 1 Ford GT if you want an investment.
I do agree that in 10 to 20 years from now, 6 speed manual V10 supercars will be non existent, thereby potentially creating value. Especially because these are low production cars.

That's what I think.

Look what anything rare from the 1960's sells for?

Shelbys, BOSS 429's BOSS 302's, Vettes, Camero's- hell anything clean from the time period brings a huge appreciation in value.

I do wish the Viper came in DCT as I'd love for my wife to be able to drive it. She loves the car but can't drive stick at all. This was the only reason I was thinking about the C7Z w/ A8.

I bought both a viper and a 15 Automatic Z06! I love both.
