Just purchase a window divider from a member on here name Ratrod. Living in south FL with summer around 100 degree, it takes a while for the car to cool down after parking in the hot sun. This window divider definitely helps cool down the car quicker. It also works great when sharing the ac vent with a passenger. I'm not affiliated with the seller and paid full price for my window. I did not receive a discount or have anything to gain with my review. I am just posting to help any members that may live in hot climate as I do. The fit, finish and customer service is excellent. Here is more info and seller description below.

"I have a 97 GTS and had suffered many hot summers too! I designed and built a 'cabin divider' window that press fits behind the seats and the headliner. It separates the driver cabin air from the trunk air. This effectively doubles the efficiency of your A/C system. It works great for me! I made a bunch of them for my buddies. I'm selling them for $55. If anybody is interested, just email me [email protected] or call 248-574-9166. Ask for Roy."

It is plexiglass with a weather strip wrapped around the perimeter. The bulb seal of the weather strip compresses as you install the divider into your GTS. This compression/tension holds the divider in place. No permanent mods required to your ride. The attached pic shows the divider with the protective film on the plexiglass, this helps give you a better idea of the size/shape of the part. I can email you more pics if you want.

Hey, can you shoot me an email to [email protected], and I will reply to that with pictures. I have to figure out how I can post more pics on the forum discussions. I keep trying to add pics, but it says i'm over the limit in size; even after I reduce them.

I'm supposed to receive mine later today (17Jul15). I plan on doing a follow up to ViperB's review, but with a bit more detail.

In order for your air conditioning to work properly or your doors to close completely, you need a vent for that air to escape. They are normally in the rear quarters of your car.

If this window does not allow sufficient air exchange between the front and rear compartment it may cause issues on getting fresh air into the car.

That is true, some blow by is required to allow the cabin baffles to function properly. The divider does not form a perfect seal between the cabin and trunk areas; this allows air to pass through as required. I used mine for over a couple years before I decided to start making and selling them. During that time, I tweaked the shape a few times to eliminate these potential side effects.
