I went in to my dealer today and the service guy I deal with told me that there was a new recall coming out. It affects the GenV
Models 2013-2015. I thought at first he was trying to get me stirred up but then I realized he was serious because he produced the paper.
In my opinion it's pretty abrasive. According to him Chrysler will be sending these letters out soon. I brought a copy home. Just thought I
Would give a heads up.

a less troublesome link

Both work great and the first one probably gets you more, this is just straight to the recalls. All the Viper Research I do comes with a few short cuts :D

Keep in mind this is a proactive move by Dodge, as it will likely only affect around 5% of Vipers. Instead of waiting around they elected to attack the concern , which many see as a change in some previous problems of years past ( i.e. window regulators , for example). The R29 issue has only popped up in rare cases of very heavily tracked cars, but they are making the mod regardless. Though not many will be affected , but in the worst case scenario one will get a new engine along with a 2 year Powertrain Warranty extention.

I know, just wanted to let people know , so they could be expecting it. I hate the idea of oil changes, I know they are necessary and important. Its just the idea
of someone else alone with my baby and changing stuff. I think it's great that they are looking out for the car and customer.

Pretty impressive they are doing this IMO. Other manufacturers make it tough to get any warranty work for a tracked car.

Yes, this makes me nervous too......and founded since the local dealer overfilled it a few quarts, thankfully I have a topsider so correcting this was not horrible.
Also, make sure they put hands on your parts.....I have to go back next week because they thought they had parts but did not, after keeping my car overnight.
But kudos to Dodge for being proactive!
