Rear latch kit help

I think different years attached differently. What year is your RT/10? If you post pics some folks might come up with some ideas.

Sorry to dig up an ancient thread, but I'm actually in the exact same boat. I did some searching but couldn't find any really good answers. I just purchased a 99 RT/10 and one of the rear latches is in the same state as the OP. I can't say that I've had a noticeable amount of bouncing, but I did notice that the hook was missing when I went to reinstall the top. First of all, is this a safety issue? The other 3 latch points seem to lock down fine.
Has there been any 3rd party development with these rear latch assemblies or am I stuck looking at OEM parts? I did some scouring and it looks like the pricing for the latch kits are insane. Any help is appreciated!
