Front inside corners of hood resting on headlamp

Did some searching and found similar issues but, the fixes sounded more in tune with fixing larger hood alignment issues. When my hood is closed, the inside hood corners are resting on the headlight housing. Unfortunately, it actually chipped a small bit of paint off the inside edge of the hood.

What's the best way to adjust the hood up and/or headlight down about 1/8" from each other?

Assuming your fascia is well positioned, I usually start by moving the two bump stops a little...often, however, one needs to move the two latches slightly as well. Before moving latches, carefully mark their original position. I like to have enough gap to allow a business card slide easily between hood and light. One may need to adjust a couple of times for best result.

Awesome news, the bumpstops gave me the business card clearance. I ended up with a bit more than that and then went to crank the bump stops back down a bit and the hood release handle popped off the stem.
I was able to pull the release handle straight down and it opened again however, I'm trying to figure out how that handle pops back on. Does it simply slip back on the little metal stem that's sticking out? Or do I need to line anthing else up first when sliding it back on?
I cranked the bumpstops back in 1/2 the adjustment I initially made and it fits great now. Just need to figure out how to get the initial release handle back on down in the front grille.

Thanks
