Hey guys, I know ive been a little slack with my NoV CL lists lately,
the reason being is that I had ALOT of drama this month, including
(but certainly not limited too) a rushed flight out to Little Rock to
pick up my newest acquisition: a 2006 Ram SRT...

I had a little adventure - picked her up in Little Rock, drove her up
to New Madrid to visit the earthquake museum, then down through
Kentucky into Nashville... Where she ate 5th, 6th and Reverse.
Managed to limp her home via the Tail of the Dragon - surprisingly
averaging 20mpg before the trans blew - 14mpg after.

A lot of first for me; first time on CST, first time seeing the Mississippi,
first time seeing an Armadillo crossing a road, and first time running
Deals Gap.

Anyway, currently working 6 day weeks, but im hoping to be back in the
game by mid-October. Im going to try real hard to get another NoV up
this weekend. Hope everyone is doing good - ill keep you posted!

Dont worry, if i ever figure out the seat issue,
she'll get all the loves she deserves.

Nice. What else is wrong with it besides the tranny?

Manufacturers Buyback (lemon,) the PO took her into a ditch
so the front bumper cover needs replacing and some body
work. The radio is done. The truck failed inspection on tires
and "weight class" (apparently the PO in Texas had it titled
as a 5000# truck, but its GVWR is 5500) so i need to
get some paperwork from TX. The shifter boot is like vellum,
it actually doesnt bend when you take it out of the column.

But the biggest issue so far is the drivers seat - it sits really
high and tilted back. Because the wheel doesnt telescope it
feels like youre driving a classic steel pedal car - steering
downward between your legs. You cannot move the seat so
your hips are level or above your knees - it wont tilt foward
with the seat all the way down, and if you raise the seat to
tilt foward it feels like your slidding off of it. I cant figure
out if its a design flaw, or a mechanical flaw - guys on the
other forums are 50/50... I drove 1400 miles like that an it
really took its toll on my legs and back.

Other than that, i really havent gotten much into her to
find any other issues. When the tires and paperwork come
in I plan on putting some daily miles on her to see what
shakes loose, but overall im very happy with her so far.

I was missing your lists. They did aid in my search and refinement of what I wanted vs what was a fair price. I did just get my Viper. So of course, I still review the NoV.
