Unfortunately, I have not visited the forums in a few years. Looks like some changes have happened. Do you have to be a member to see the classifieds? Also needed to replace the battery in my '95 that Im putting up for sale. I did it about 8 years ago and I know its in the drivers side rear wheel well. I searched and nothing really comes up. Do you have to be a member to search too?

Classifieds are closed, we do not charge to post an ad, just post it in the correct form

Steve, I appreciate that. Do they not allow DIY postings anymore? I have not even shopped for the battery yet. Do you know the specs on what kind of battery is needed? Thanks.

I do...and, a few tricks.
The group size is 78...though we have one Gen I that takes a group 75 as some brands of 78 won't fit. A 78 is side terminal only which is what you want.

Do not fall for a group 78 DT...double terminal !!

If you planned to keep the car, I would suggest a solid brand AGM battery...no leaks, last longer...but heavy and expensive.

Text your email to my number and I will forward a tutorial to you on battery change...just to refresh your memory.

They should. The main change was moving to a new server and forum software, which cut the club overhead. There's a chance some old posts might have been messed up, but I thought most seemed to be working okay. Search should work okay as well without a membership as far as I'm aware. The how-to link at the top might require membership to work, but all of that information is just forum posts that it links to, so if you dig you should be able to find it.

Here are a couple threads that show up for me, though I'm not sure if they have the relevant info you're looking for. I just searched "battery replacement" while in the RT/10 and GTS forum:

Thank you Mopar. I think a lot of old stuff was deleted. I did the same search as you and a lot of stuff comes up but each hit is a post or a thread. So, there is a million pages of stuff that is not applicable. I guess its just not like the old system and I probably have to fool around and learn the functions. I appreciate the posted threads. Both come up for me.

No posts were deleted in the move to xenforo

The biggest issue with threads are pictures and broken links (ie photo bucket)
