Started my search looking at BMW e60 M5's (V10 6 speed) but the ridiculous ongoing maintenance costs has lead me to Gen 2 vipers instead. Really stupid stuff like 1 VANOS solenoid costing $1.8k (there are 4 in the m5).

Apologies if this should not be posted here, but wondering if anyone plans on selling their high mileage GTS anytime in the near future (100k+ miles is cool). All the ones currently posted in the classified section seem to be low mileage, "excellent" examples. I am located in nyc, but will to travel to purchase. Prefer black or dark gray, but lets see what you got!

Extending my search to the inter webs, all the GTS's seem to have under 50k miles as well.

Funny you mention the E60 m5. I took the plunge on one last year for the wife's second car. 2006 with 76k miles. I would not have it as my only car, or a daily driver.

My advice on them would be to find a well sorted one and it shouldn't trouble you too much. The one we got we paid a little bit of a premium for, but it came with a 3rd party warranty good until 2021, and a folder full of previous maint records.

So far the car has been really solid, and is a real blast. OMG the sound of that thing.

As far as the Viper search goes, Keep at it. It took over 2 years to find the Gen 2 GTS I was after, looking everywhere I could about 2 times a week. One finally popped up in Virgina Beach. I wanted a driver. It wasn't perfect, but its the perfect one for me. Bought a 96 GTS with 87k miles in summer of 2018.

Like you, I was getting frustrated seeing all these museum quality low mile, high priced cars listed, but with diligence, I found the one for me.

I have an 01 Bumblebee GTS with about 88k miles. Never been in an accident, but it has been driven so it’s not showroom perfect, but it is a solid car. We recently had back to back to back kids so all our time is dedicated to them now. Been thinking of selling the Viper for a few months now. Shoot me a message if it’s something you might be interested in.

I have a 2008 SRT-10 (converted to ACR) with 14K miles, but it has been club raced so it is not pristeen and I would consider 50K for it it's black with slate stripe, it has an after market ACR Carbon Wing and winglets and divider. The car has a moton suspension with ACR-X exhaust. Springs are high K value, you may want to switch back to factory springs. I know someone who would sell you a set for $200

Thanks. Appreciate the details. Unfortunately going to have to pass. The wife thinks the Viper is flashy enough as is, so red/yellow are out of the question :(

Just with a friend of mine this weekend and he is talking about selling his 2000 GTS ACR with 56 or 57,000 miles on it, black with stripes. Looking for an offer over 40k I believe. It is in CT.

Sounds like a good one. I’m partial though. Bought my 2000 ACR two years ago and had around same miles. It’s been wonderful for the last 6k miles since I bought it.

Just because I saw your request: I have a 2003 Gen III with a 2017 Gen V drive train built by Arrow Racing, 822 HP on E-85. 57,000 miles on original frame; 2000 since rebuild. I'm almost finished restoring from salvage -beautiful car, custom House of Kolar Cobalt Blue - lots of new stuff. Solid Car, located in Fl. I have not listed it anywhere yet, If not sold before early April going on BAT. $48,000 firm.
