I have a question, on the passenger side valve cover, vacuum hose thingy.. Is it suppose to look like this, (see photos) where the hose attaches to the valve cover?

I had it smogged recently, and the smog guys said it's all wrong, surprising since a year and a half ago I had it gone through, to take care of any issues, at a place that is good with Vipers.

Anyhow, the connection there, was electric taped together, you can still see some of it.. So how is it actually suppose to look??

Any input is appreciated

Looks okay to me. From what I recall when I rebuilt my engine there is one of those on the back of either valve cover that run down the underside of the intake and into the throttle body. The wrap around the back of the intake before running under it, which is what I think I see in your pictures.

The black rubber boot is supposed to have a black pinch release circular clip on it to retain it in place on the valve cover. I haven’t looked but isn’t there a twin of this on the other valve cover that you can look at?

For the one you show, the rubber boot on mine snapped in two pieces so I ordered a replacement from the dealer, the whole length of tubing comes as a single part, but you can remove the boot from the new one and put it on for a quick repair if the rest of the tube is nice.
