Getting ready to do the last bit of updating to the IVR.

Other than the breakdowns that are already there based on the way the IVR was started in the beginning, what other items would you like to see. Asking, now so if it's possible to incorporate those idea's, now would be the time.

Let me know

Cool, thanks....

This is going to be easier than I thought. So...... I will probably move this up on my schedule and update the 5 or 6 items that are not done in the Gen V area and call it a day.

The update has started.

Starting with http://www.theviperregistry.com/build.php

The section being update is Production Information: By Model Year

I'll be verifying the numbers are correct, making sure all the first and las VIN's are all entered. This will take some time.....

Should have done this a long time ago, I can't believe just how much is wrong/incomplete/missing. I really didn't look at anything that was 92-2008 because a very cool and intelligent person enter that information on the page. With the additional information that I've been able to review has put a finer point on some of the information on the IVR. This post is not an attempt to disparage anyone that previously grew, built and added information to the IVR. Without them, this data probably would exist at all and we appreciate and celebrate their efforts. Thank You Jay.

There is an underlying database for people to add their Vipers to the International Viper Registry. Most of that data is test data and there is only a small number of entries. There was some consideration to remove this all together, however, as it is part of history. It will stay and no modifications will be made to that area of the IVR. If you choose to enter data, it's won't be a bad thing. The IVR is being maintain in coordination with the "Viper Registry". Started at a different time under very different circumstances with a far different goal. There is currently 1750 Vipers with Registration numbers and 2923 RAM SRT-10 aka Viper Truck's with Registration numbers. The VR continues to add both Vipers and Viper trucks every week.

As both the IVR and VR enjoy the History of the Viper, there at some point needed to be some coordination of the data even though it will be presented differently. Over the past 13 years the VR provides build data based on verified data to those that want to know specifics. The IVR didn't have that ability. So whether looking at the IVR or VR, you can ask for those additional details. Some data may never be known as getting that data at this point has become difficult at best. One of the main questions is what # is my Viper. The IVR does not contain any MDH data, the VR does, however, not for all years.

For 2008 - 2017, the VR does have that info and can do #***/xxxx determinations. Other years, the best that can be done is VIN sequence, keep in mind, Viper are not (in most cases) built in VIN sequence and some VIN's are skipped entirely, messing that use of sequence unreliable. The IVR does not have the VIN's, the VR has 31,956 VIN's in it's database and can base the # of that way if the MDH's are not available.

As new owners have that quest for information, we will do our best to provide it, the information is all done free of charge.

Everyday I'm happy that the Viper Club of America has provided a place where the IVR and VR can work together to provide this information. It should be noted that all other sites and locations rely on our data whether it be from VCA Magazines, IVR site or VR Site to provide these details. Only the Viper Club of America has the ability to update and maintain correct information as we have the information and don't rely on others research to provide it

Thank You VCA

The next step in the process now that the basic information has been updated (yes there is a lot more to update) Is the re skinning of the IVR. Once that is done, some of the additional documentation may be moved to its own page(s). Some items may be completely removed as the information is here on the viperclubamerica.org site, ie TSB’s. The Equipment List breakdowns will also be eliminated (see 1992 for the proposed example that was NOT supported by the community) A lot will be happening. Through this entire process, if there is data that you Would like to see included, let me know by posting in this thread. Once done, the research will be closed, dB archived, and what you see is what you have.

The next evolution of the International Viper Registry (IVR) with the help of the Viper Registry (VR) has been completed.
http://www.theviperregistry.com/build_details.php

The Production Breakdown 1992 thru 2017 has been updated/completed. Please accept our apology for the long pause. We were waiting to see if FCA (or some other group) would show these results first. No one and I mean no one has posted a complete production breakdown. So with gratitude, I thank the Viper Club of America for allowing the VR to complete this portion of the IVR. The IVR still needs significant updates, and, it is in the process of being completed. There is no timeline for the completion of Items like Interior and Wheels. That will be part of : http://www.theviperregistry.com/build.php

The Exterior portion of the above page will be removed as it now has a new location. Other Items (i.e.. Sales data, Pilot and Marketing data) will be added to the build page. This data has been independently researched and the IVR & VR has the VIN and Equipment List Data for all 31,956 Vipers identified on these pages. No other group, organization, association, club or site has independently done the research to determine these details and most (if not all) use data from the Viper Club of America, IVR, VR and Viper Club of America Magazines to determine production count. This very fact makes the Trolls very unhappy.

This data is not meant to be a secret, All people who own Vipers, would like to some day own a Viper, or just have a love for the Viper may find these details interesting and some have no use for it at all and we realize this kind of data is not for everyone and that is OK. We hope that those that do have an interest find it useful. SO when Auction Houses start tossing out silly numbers because the seller heard from someone who thought they knew the answer, maybe you can find the right answer here.

The Clone war is real!!! Have a good day!

I'm currently updating the exterior and interior features on:
http://www.theviperregistry.com/build.php

ie, wheels, tires, Aero, Marketing, Test & Pilot, Hood and various groups. If there is something you would like to add to this, let me know, if possible, I will add it.

With the exception of a few minor things to review and update, The intended production information has been added and the IVR has been completed. I'll leave this thread open just in case

Cheers

Do you have a list of all the owners with vin's? Exact number of how many are still available. I heard that 50% were totaled in '93. So out of 893, how many are left? Will giving MHD and vin number give me the number I need. I think I already sent in the information.

Oh heavens no, I only have 1774 Registered out of the 31,956 Vipers produced. An not all of those have real names, some only have a screen name and some not at all.

Exact number of how many are still available. I heard that 50% were totaled in '93.
The rumors have been quite interesting and there isn't a real easy way to determine the truth. I can check VIN's on an Insurance web site, but I can only do 5 a day, not interested in paying to get the information as it has no real value to me in the end

So out of 893, how many are left?
No idea

If I understand what your asking, (Build sequence #). Not really, I would need all 1043 MDH's for 1993 so I can see the entire build sequence, no where close to having that data for 93. I have 1992 and 2006 thru 2017. Not sure I will ever have the rest. After 14 years all the data avenues have dried up, almost all of them due to retirement or job changes.

Seems like some info is scrambled that used to be concise. I bot a 2002 RT-10 about 3 years ago. I wanted to know the production #'s on my new car and how many had the cognac interior. The old IVR had that easily accessible showing the # of cars made in graphite metallic. Clicking on that figure gave you the breakdown of interior color options. To get that info now you have to use a color scale (on another page) that is a little ambiguous and doesn't give you the # of units produced in each color (cognac and blk). Seems like something that wasn't broke got fixed, to the detriment of the process. Also tried to find out the # of cognac interiors in a 2002 RT10. Never did find that info. My 2c.

Noted, however due to lack of interest (see post #8) some items were not completed. Is what's interesting is I have some screen shots of the old page and for the interior, less than 900 were identified for the 2002 production run. That data is still there.
http://www.theviperregistry.com/build.php

Interior - Black 723
Interior - Cognac 121
Which falls well short of the 1450 built in 2002, I left what Jay had entered even though I knew it was incomplete, with a note: Interior Color breakdown not complete or Interior color not included in Equipment List

The only real difference is the format was changed from vertical to horizontal. That was done because of the increased options for the Gen IV and Gen V the page would 3600 px wide, you can have your 2 cents back

Yeh. I sort of figured the other Gens info would have to change the format and structure some. Bottom line: this is the best Viper site and we're all lucky to be driving the car that changed the American automotive scene, regardless of what Generation it may be.

Couldn’t agree more, as there were so few made, most will never experience what you have.
