I am looking for some advice removing my rear differential on 2008 Vert. I am planning on sending to Unitrax to have 3.55 gears installed. I have read all old posts and seen some conflicting answers. Currently the car is in the air, drive shaft removed, 4 main support bolts loose and half shafts have been "popped". I am the point of dropping the dif. The question is can you get it out without dissambeling one side of rear suspension? Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I'm pretty sure I ended up pulling at least one a-arm out when I did my diff swap on my gen 3 (should be the same process as I put a gen 4 diff in its place). I think I did it more to get the half shaft out of the way than for any kind of diff clearance though.

In replacing your Gen 3 differential with a Gen 4, did you have any guidelines to go by in reference to what changes/new parts would be required to complete this swap? What Gen 3 parts could be reused? Thanks.

I kept pretty much everything off the gen 3. The only thing I had to swap out that I can recall was the carrier itself. Basically just removed the old one and bolted the new one in its place. I'm fairly sure the axles and everything matched up just fine.
