Timing gear

2001 . Putting timing gear back on . Stock . Is it necessary to use a timing Wheel or just line up the dots . Appears to be no adjustment or room for error . Am I good to go ?

You should be fine just lining up the dots. Otherwise the only adjustment you're going to get is advancing/retarding it a full tooth, which is likely going to be waaay too much. You can buy offset crank keys if you want to get picky. I went that way, but only really because I had an aftermarket cam and my installer said it really mattered for it. If I'd have put a stock one back in during my rebuilt I wouldn't have even thought twice about it.

Thank you for the reply . Appeared there was only one way . looking for a second opinion . On with the reassembly.
