I had a similar experience with my 06 I got that had 23k miles. The original gas mightve been old, but after a couple tanks the car got a lot better. Also an fresh oil change made the engine a lot smoother too. I got it Septemer 30th last year...I'm sitting at 27.5k miles now and counting...
When I first got my 06 Viper it had 23k original miles back in September. At the beginning it kinda behaved like this with rough starting...and even the valve train was a little loud though within normal parameters. The more I drove it the better it started and the smoother the engine got. The...
That cops personal opinion isn't reality. Cops of course will vary because they are people just like us. Most Definitely you will get pulled over for no front plate if a cop wants to pull you over for it. Some cops love to do that, some don't care because it's a Viper, so there is some truth...
I had this exact thing play out on my first sunday drive in my Viper. I had to run and get a sticky plug kit from autozone, and air it up because it would not hold air. The plug didn't leak and eventually I replaced to two front tires, sux cuz all 4 of the tires were new and I didn't want to...
So I can see where my rear tires have kissed the inner fender liner as well. I also discovered my car has coilovers. Still learning more about this particular car, its all part of the fun.
Now I've only had my Viper two weeks...I have yet to experience this..but this was a common issue on a lot of my manual cars. Sometimes I'd just shift it to first clutch out and let the car bump forward a tiny bit and then it would go into reverse no problem.
So the cover I got with my car looks exactly like that, of course minus the cool Mamba bag. I've been trying to figure out if it's an indoor or outdoor or both cover.
Good deal. I assume the car is stock from all I could tell. I'm still digging into the car as I bought it from a dealer and not an owner. It's nice when you can get info from a previous owner.
No I did not mix tire profiles on the car. I replaced BOTH front tires. I think in my second post I wasn't clear that the old tires were now going to be stored as spares. I edited the post to clearly state that now.
I've had my 06 Viper for a bit. It runs strong..but the Valvetrain is very loud. I thought it to be normal, but definitely if i heard this out of my truck I'd be looking for a problem.
I saw some old threads saying cars run smooth and there is no excessive noise.
I wish I knew what noise...
Well It worked. Now I have a mostly new 275/35/18 Pilot Super sport, and one with a plug in it with lots of tread that'll ill be putting in storage. I put on 275/40/18 and drove the car around it was great.
So I wanted to replace my front two tires. I just picked up a 06 Viper and on my first sunday drive with my wife we picked up a nail dead center of the passenger front. I got myself a plug kit...plugged it and we were good to go.
Even though the plug I put in doesn't leak, I have brand new...
Aw geez I just set up my stereo went for my first top down cruise and I'm just having this happen to me! Thanks! I'm gunna be diggin into mine this week. If i can I'll post up some pics as I go through it.
I just picked up a 06 Vert on Friday. Love it! I'm in Corpus Christi but I do travel over to Sugarland and Pasadena often. I've worked on my past cars myself...then started driving newer cars with warranties and will be excited to start wrenching around again.
I took my car out for the first...
