ehhhhhh
They fit,
*IF* you bore and hone the cylinders.
*IF* you clearance the oil gallery on certain years.
*IF* you change the flywheel bolts.
*IF* you add the alignment dowel for 03/04.
*IF* you add the crankshaft position sensor for 03/04.
Not exactly my definition of "fit". It...
Cross-Post from VA:
I see this from both sides, but the fact is, that a business is in business to make money. Bringing your own parts means they are doing the same work and taking the same risks for far less than half the profit as if they supplied everything. To add insult to injury, BC is a...
Hydraulic Fan is far superior. It has a bad reputation due to the sheer number of techs and owners who dont understand it and/or half-ass repairs or do other stupid stuff, and end up creating problems that never would have occurred otherwise... combined with bogus tune files, overspeed issues...
I would not recommend UD Pulleys or those plugs for your application.
A tune file for your application, be it as-is or with exhaust, no problem at all.
IMO, the only way to go is a Viper & Trackhawk. They compliment each other, and have very little overlap aside from both being stupid fast in their own right.
I would never, ever line a Viper up against a hawk unless its a well prepped and sorted not-stock car on a perfect road. The highway...
Yes. The best route is always to replace the whole thing, but thats only if you can find one and not have it cost a fortune.
I have tracked down and installed replacement blades before. It's not cheap, but its cheap... er.
See what you can find first, it's always an option.
We can track down and replace your fan blade if it comes down to it. A pain in the ass for sure, but cheaper than a full replacement if you can find one.
Seems like this is getting more complicated than it needs to be at this point. Give me a shout and we can pinpoint the problem area before throwing parts at it.
Your battery is bad and/or cable is loose. STOP JUMP STARTING IT or you are going to cost yourself a pair of control modules in the blink of an eye. FIND AND FIX THE PROBLEM.
NEVER, EVER JUMP START A VIPER UNLESS YOU ARE STUCK ON THE SIDE OF A ROAD, and never, EVER use a wall-plug based jump...
X4 is not for your car. You need to be dealing with an SCT dealer like us for Viper files, not SCT.
And yes, there are decent gains, especially on 04-06 cars.
PCM is damaged. On early Gen-2, PCM design causes FP relay to actuate when in "Dead" condition [IE drivers are floating and uncontrolled], as the relay control is a ground path instead of isolated when the driver is in a floating state.
Contact me for a PCM, that's your problem. I have 1996 in...
Damn, this is very sad to hear. I saw a lot of his work and he was an absolute artist!
Its rather depressing... the Viper market seems to have had an uptick in legacy vendors, techs, and owners passing away or going out of business the last few years.
Godspeed Tony!
WHOA, hold the phone. I never said anything about the crankshaft being in a different location. They are exactly the same!
The only thing that changed from 03-04 is the clearance machine work done to the oil galleries and the oil line adapter integrated into the casting. The clearance work was...
I generally target 0.100" whenever possible. in some cases things can be squeaked closer, where inertial forces, component rocking and deflection arent really a concern.
With regard to your problem, clearance your block galleries like an 04+ and move on with life.
These clubs are a micro example of what happens when people get access to the cookie jar and try to find inorganic ways to funnel money into the coffers and keep control... kinda like our own government!
Who came up with the censoring format on here? Half of the NORMAL everyday words are getting bleeped out!
P.U.N.T.A.? Spanish for Point? Not even the same word as the one we are all thinking?
S.C.R.E.W.? You know... the things that hold your car together?
