Congrats. Will be nice to see another viper floating around southern CT. Chuck and rob are the real deal. I have never let anyone else (dealer included) touch my car.
TheThe one and only Chuck Tator. No brainer. He knows everything there is to know about this car. He is in south Salem NY right on the CT border. A bit far from you but totally worth the trip for the peace of mind.
That's a cool find. I imagine even at 70k its a fair deal. Never really understand why people have an issue when people dont drive a car. Its your money do what you want. If you like to look at it like a painting or sculpture so be it. If you want to smash it with a sledgehammer that's your...
Jeff, I guess the good news is that your numbers for 2002 matched Jays (8). I believe I spoke with him a while back and he felt those were correct but knowing for sure would be cool.
In your data do you also get the VINs? Would also be cool to see how many are still around (no comfort cars)...
I guess the total production per year and how many non AGF cars. The color breakdown I am guessing would be more work. I think most people have been operating with the understanding that the total production of ACR's was the 819 cars listed on IVR. Would be cool to have the real production...
ok cool. I know I was tracking the movement of ACR's for a while and while I only ever saw some 300+ cars transact (post MSO) when I lost track - I know I only ever saw one or two Non AGF cars trade. Maybe 20 made it out of the country without comfort, who knows.
I think it kind of depends what you are after. If you are just looking for a track car then it makes no sense to get an ACR. Just build what you want from a cheaper model and upgrade or better still just buy one already built close to your liking for a great discount off building it yourself...
The car sold for $640k (plus buyers premium). He was the original owner and it has some 1800 miles on it. The good cars are bringing good money, the difference is the junky ones are not doing crazy numbers like they were...a lot like housing I suppose.
The new challenger is much faster than my 71 hemi. Maybe I should trade up?
They are all really cool. Pick the one you like and do not settle on color etc.
news story says viper plant shuttered until end June.
Per Detroit news, wish I had some extra cash to help the cause.

Silly me. Of course. At the end they present a brand new Gen V to he once filled with sorrow aspiring srt mechanics, and they rejoice. Oh and one for me :-)
SRT should leverage the news story to market the new car. Swoop in and save the day. Make some hokey Clint Eastwood, Garth Brooks, Sylvester Stallone commercial about how they saved one of the original beloved Vipers with American flags and Apple Pies everywhere. And of course work in the Gen...
I think your use case may play into it as well. For the regular person who is driving around town, goes for a spirited rip every now and again and would like a respectable car to track on occasion as is, and a classic design, I think a Gen II ABS car is a very nice compromise. It is good at...
It will certainly be interesting to keep an eye on. Took a page right from the ACR book offering the car without a/c AND it has flying car mode, that alone should be worth another 20k. I personally think they will sell them but thats just a guess.
If I have a choice ABS is a no brainer (for me). If you are looking for a 1970 Coronet then you have no choice, if you are looking for a Gen 2 then I would sacrifice color overt ABS. Juste my 2 cents.
