Re: how to get to 1000rwhp w/ a SC:
JD, I think you may be glossing over the octane issue here. If there is a supercharged Viper that made 1,000 rwhp on pump gas (93 or 94) without nitrous I've never heard of it. If your 965 was on pump that's the highest I've heard of, and you have some...
That's the point, i.e., to eliminate the contrast between the bright red lenses and the shiny black paint. If you like contrast, you might as well stick with stock (at least on the rear; the front is a little different since the lenses are clear). By making the lenses darker they blend in...
Brand New Iforged Monaco\'s--No Waiting
Ok, I'm going to make someone really happy. I just received a brand new set of Iforged Monaco's in 19/20 with gloss black centers and chrome lips (chrome is $75 more per wheel than polished). For those who don't know the Monaco is a ten spoke 3 piece...
It's actually a GT500, and I have a hard time believing it will consistently outrun an SRT-10 in a straight line. Maybe Ford gave them a ringer. No magazine I've seen yet got the GT500 under high 12's in the quarter, and most were around 13.0.
They make a 345/30/19 in the A6/R6 competition series, but I haven't heard of anyone trying it yet. It's a safe bet that either would be suicide in the rain, but I'd be interested to know how the autocross version hooked on the street.
Re: Michelin Sport Cups in 19
The only sticky competition type tire I've heard of in stock sizes is the new Hoosier A6/R6:

But I've yet to...
I have no personal experience with RSI, but I'm assuming you're talking about the red car Ringgold Dodge has, and I can tell you that Mike and the guys at RD are absolutely awesome to deal with. One thing that would be a major benefit to buying a new car with a TT system would be a "friendly"...
Far be it from me to spring to this rather odd character's defense, but if he is who he says he is he didn't work for a domestic company; he worked for Toyota. And if he is who he says he is, it's not at all inconceivable that he had the pull to get the guys in the various fab shops to play...
So not only does your all-motor Viper run 9's, it has the only set of factory stripes I've ever heard of that you can't feel. That must be quite an unusal car.
Re: What are OEM wheels/tires from an \'05 worth?
You're giving advice premised on Jon being nice on the phone?? You must have missed the man-o-pause thread a week or two ago. BTW, I'm a long-time customer of Jon's, and while I feel sure he would give me some feedback, I respect how...
HRE's are known for this, even with stock brakes, and even though they may have been off just days earlier. I had this problem with the rear wheels on my GTS every time, but was always lucky enough to get them off with my low tech solution (kicking the hell out of the tire sidewall on...
Re: DC Please build a street version or anyone please build a kit for me!!!
With a 2" wider body, I gather this will be an all or nothing deal, i.e., you won't be able to bolt one or two pieces on an existing SRT without all the other body panels to match?
I'm not so sure the problem was throttle so much as a major over-correction with the steering wheel. Looks almost like the driver turned straight into the wall after the car broke traction a little bit.
Re: 650 hp Mclaren Viper from DC to bridge gap in 2007 goes 0 to 60 mph in
And those vents don't indicate in any way whatsoever that "they've tackled the intake issue." The new vents aren't anywhere near the intake, and even if they were they wouldn't provide the extra clearance needed for...
