Sorry for the late reply, but here's how I fixed it. It's holding strong so far, but the heat has dropped off a little here in St. Louis so I haven't put it to the true heat test again yet. Good times! Came out to the parking lot to find this today... Thought it had been broken into at first until I saw the problem....10 year old Dodge window adhesive is no competition for the St. Louis heat! So at this point I was kicking myself for replacing the stupid "hatch shocks"...- bdelass

New Owner of a B/W '96!
Just did the same thing to pick up my '02 GTS... Flew to Orlando. Drove home to St. Louis via Highway A1A on the East Coast and the mountains of North Carolina / Tennessee. It was a blast! I put 1400 miles on the car in 2 days. The previous owner had put 1000 miles on it in the past 4...- bdelass

Need advice PLEASE - considering Gen 2 purchase
I guess I will chime in here too... I've owned (in this order) a 1997 GTS, a 2008 SSG SRT-10 and currently a 2002 GTS. I went back to the Gen 2 primarily for the body style. The Gen 4 was just never "my" dream car in that regard. Going from 600 HP to 450...yes, you can tell the power...- bdelass

how to remove GTS stanchion?
If you know a VCA member (assuming you are not one yourself), I believe their is an article about this very job in the newest Viper Magazine. So if you can talk them into borrowing their copy of the magazine, you should be good to go.- bdelass

best way to get wires through the firewall?
Perhaps this is what you were talking about, but you've got two grommets on either side up near the black plastic cover at the bottom of the windshield. Easy access to the interior! Unless the wires are too big or depending upon how you need to route them, these might work. This is what I...- bdelass

The finished product! I just realized that I forgot to snap any pictures of the door speakers installed or the rear subs. With the exception of the small "K" on the kicker tweeter, there is virtually no difference visually. All speakers installed with factory screws and under factory grilles...- bdelass

Running wires... The Kicker Component set for the front doors fits so well that I decided not to re-use the backing plate for the tweeter. I used the plastic lock nut that comes with the Kicker set to tighten the tweeter into place, but removed it because once I snugged into place I couldn't...- bdelass

A litte prep work to get the car ready...sometimes you've got to make a mess before it all comes together again! Check out the sweet condition of the rear factory rear speakers when I pulled them out. It's a wonder any sound was coming from them at all!- bdelass

WDW MKR: I agreee 100%! The thing that blew me away was how filthy those upper and lower a-arms were on the suspension. They literally looked like they were painted black when I started cleaning and then all of a sudden they were silver when I got done! And that was only after 5-6K miles...- bdelass

I just finished a "wheels-off" detail project on my 2002 GTS. Everything got cleaned from the barrels of the wheels and wheel-wells to a full Adam's clay/swirl remover/machine polish/wax clean-up of the paint. Worked A Viper Into A New Poster For My Office...
slysnake: I don't really have any details about the car. I noticed that on the front of the hood/nose as well. I use a image hosting website for pictures from time to time.
