Let's be real, what would it take? Only short answers please

That is one good looking Viper for sure. Which dealer is it at? I could not find it through drivesrt.com. By the way, I've just told SRT about the difficulty in finding Vipers on their and their dealers' sites. PM me the details. It is actually the 1st Gen 5 I would consider buying.

Ok one other very important item. I just tried to find the dealer that has that White/Black stripe Gen 5 in Arizona. I went to the drivesrt.com site and did a SRT dealer search for all dealers within 300 miles of Phoenix. I then went to every one of their websites to look to see if they had a...

That Viper may be the best looking Gen 5 I've seen (ok, I'm partial to white). Do you have any pics of the front. Maybe the stupid, blacked out grille would look ok on this color combo.

I've driven a Gen 5 for a bit over 100 miles and here are the things I would change. Sorry Mark there is more than one thing and I have shared this list with friends at SRT. 1) Price is too steep for me and I can afford to buy it. I understand that Chrysler raised their margins on the Gen 5...

VCA Drama: what are the known facts?

New England members also voted after receiving Dan's letter and a letter from VOA. The President was neutral in his presentation. Voting of the membership was conducted via a web service and it was annonymous. The motion to leave the VCA and join VOA was carried by close to 90% of those voting.

VCA Drama: what are the known facts?

I think you might want to have your eyes checked. The map shows that there are elements in Central Florida that are leaving the VCA to form their own VOA region. It does not say that Central Florida is leaving the VCA. That is what is meant by the star. As for South Florida, I can't say...

VCA Drama: what are the known facts?

Bob, re-read my post. The bylaws do not allow or stipulate that any monies sent to the regions need to be repaid for any reason. This money now belongs to the Regions, period. I agree with what you said about Article XI and if you read my post again you will see that I said while some regions...

VCA Drama: what are the known facts?

Rick, I didn't create the map, it was created by someone else who has been tracking regional decisions. I actually don't know what the non-US regions have decided or I would add them.

VCA Drama: what are the known facts?

I'm posting the following map to illustrate my point in a previous post. This was posted on another site. Given the number of regions that have already voted to leave the VCA, how does it survive? What is the National Board's plan to resolve this? Elections for new officers in January seems...

VCA Drama: what are the known facts?

You might be correct if the regions were legally affiliated with the national but they're not. They are independent entities. In fact in the VCA's tax return when asked if they have chapters they answered "no".

VCA Drama: what are the known facts?

The stipends sent to local clubs are a direct result of member's dues. Each region receives $55 out of the dues payment in accordance with the VCA's bylaws (Article II Section 6). This is sent by National to the regions. It is not the VCA's money at this point. There is no stipulation in the...

VCA Drama: what are the known facts?

As I understand it from one of the original founders of the VCA, the National was there to support the regions (not the other way around) and to maintain a relationship with Chrysler (which would not have been practical for 40 regions to do and which as we know now they screwed up). In terms of...

VCA Drama: what are the known facts?

Each of the Regions is locally incorporated as a not for profit. The Regions are not "owned" by the National club and they are run by a Regional Board of Directors. When the region votes (in accordance with their local bylaws) that vote is binding and the legal entity that represents the...

VCA Drama: what are the known facts?

It is true that not everyone voted however the results from a few regions I'm familiar with those that voted were either unanimous or in the 90% range. Those regions that did vote to withdraw are telling their members not to renew with the VCA whether they voted or not. My guess is that those...

VCA Drama: what are the known facts?

I posted this in another thread. I am not a rocket scientist nor a brain surgeon but if the information posted on the other site is accurate (and I have no reason to doubt it and I know it is absolutely true for many), there are 18 Regions that have already voted to leave the VCA, 9 others...

VCA Drama: what are the known facts?

When the Bylaws were being updated I posted a question in the thread we were told to post questions in. These posts were to be answered by the National Officers and the question and answer was to be reposted for all members to see. My question had to do with the potential for a conflict of...

Gen IV trunk air pump and tire sealant bottle??

It is portable and plugs into the power socket on the console just like your radar detector or GPS. No hardwiring needed. It will work on any car at all including Gen1,2 and 3 cars.

Rebuilding my blue and white ACR

I replaced my splitter with a new one ($3200). My co-driver broke the original when he went into some tires at Daytona. However, I found a local guy here in Denver (Renegade Composites) that fixed my old one up like new.

    Discolored Rear Calipers

I have used PFC-1s before on another car and I really liked the way they stopped but found they ate rotors pretty quickly. I've used Brakeman's before as well but never liked them. However, I've never tried the combo you suggested. I think I may have those pads at home so maybe I'll try them...

    Discolored Rear Calipers

Dan, have you ever tried getting more airflow to the rear brakes? I was wondering if those Porsche air deflectors sold by that place you can't mention here would work? He thinks they would but hasn't tried it.

    Discolored Rear Calipers

I am using slightly different compounds front to rear. Rear is a little less aggressive but not much. I use Raybestos pads. I've tried going softer in the rear but really didn't like the braking. I'm going to put on blue calipers to match my paint scheme. I believe they are powder coated...
