My post was not about trying to inform any website managers!
It was about making sure fellow VCA members -- who may have shelled out big bucks to go to this VOI -- know about what's being kept quiet (just as this post was moved over here), and how the reality of it, might affect their plans in...
The CAAP tours for Friday have been cancelled. People placed in 'Group A' were originally supposed to tour CAAP on Friday, but now they are trying to get everyone into CAAP on Thursday (or earlier), because the plant will be closed on Friday.
That means if you're not checked-in and ready to...
To clarify:
The 3" Race system does not come with cats. However, the Random Tech cat-with-elbow-pipe (available from JonB) fits well with the Race system. You only need to cut off about 4"-5" from the back length of each elbow pipe, and then you have a perfect 3" Race system with cats --...
Ha!!!!
I shouldn't even be buying the car right now ...but I've had one on-order since 5/07, since I traded my 2005 Viper. I'm buying a new Viper in 2008 (still in D 'something' status) -- that's paying/doing more than most can say who may be attending on the basis of owning the same Viper...
Honestly, get real. That answer comes up short. :nono:
Originally the schedule was Thursday & Friday - now the tours have been moved up to Wednesday - when the majority of folks will only be arriving - so those folks also have less of a shot of making the tours, as well. How in the world...
I registered yesterday, but having 2nd thoughts now.
Flying in and can't get there until Thursday, and just found out CAAP will be closed Friday. In fact, no tours of CAAP after early Thursday afternoon ...So what's the point of going to VOI in Detroit if you can't tour CAAP? And I doubt...
Traded my '05 and left a deposit on an '08 order in ...May 2007. Still waiting and 'excited' (I'd be a little happier if they just called it an '09 at this point.

I read that CAAP is now closed ...until 7/21? If that is the typical break for model year change-over, then the Viper Blue cars will not all be built until they start up again for the 2009s.
Regardless of the VIN assigned, in my book, that makes the Viper Blue cars 2008.5 or 2009s. That's my...
Would it be nuts to run a slightly taller 265/35/19 (instead of 275/30/19) to go with the taller profile of 335/20 rears in a 19/20 set up? Has anyone done this?
Personally, I think 14% drivetrain loss is more realistic.
But, to your question, don't forget about total TQ and HP 'under the curve' vs. just 'peak' TQ and HP on the dyno ...on the road, everything under the curve matters for speed, not just 'peak'
Awesome! That will look great with any of the colors that you mentioned and will add to the awareness of Vipers on the road ...looking especially good with the Anaconda Green :2tu:
One request: I hope folks don't have to wait until July 2009 to see a few in dealer showrooms :usa:
