I know that the part is falty....the question is should SRT or dodge issue a recall on this part? Almost every 2008-2009 Gen IV I have been around has had an issue with this defective part. The fact that dodge changed the part in the middle of 09 shows that they know the window regulator is...
I know they have been silent. I just don't understand why they would choose to ignore the situation. It could even be seen as a safety issue. The majority of GEN IV owners have had issues. SRT needs to except responsibility and create an action plan. Not being able to roll the windows down or...
If SRT is aware of the problems with Gen IV window regulators why don't they recall them...I paid 94k for my 2008 Viper and both of my windows started to falter within the last year. Should I have to pay the dealer $2000 dollars to fix a defective part? I would love for a SRT rep to respond to...
There are some aftermarket PCM's that can handle the GEN IV ....unfortunately they cost $5000-$14000. Motec will run you $14k and the new Infinity AEM will cost around 5k
There are a few TT Gen IV's out there...RSI...etc,etc
3.33 look like a good meduim...not as aggresive as 3.55's and not as long as the 3.07's
What improvement would I see in the 1/4 with the 3.33? 2-3 tenths?
I don't think the GEN IV code has been cracked...they are running a Motec which takes control over the stock PCM.
The only thing for the GEN IV without adding a MOTEC or AEM is the MOPAR PCM.
what would be the mph in each gear with 3.33's? I'm adding the Mopar PCM so my rev limiter will be raised to 6500 and I'm running 345-35-19 Invos.
I looking for the best striaght line acceleration 40-160+
I love the performance level of the Viper, but I am looking to get as much as I can out of the GEN IV. I don't plan on adding turbos or nitrous (want to keep it NA).
Most of the time the car is used for 40-160 runs...would 3.33's help the performance in this area?
Dallas Performance Heads, Full Belanger Exhaust, Dallas Perfromance Ported Intake, K&N filter (Still have stock PCM). Car made around 535rwhp stock so the Ported Heads, Intake, and exhaust really wakes the Gen IV's up.
Car made 603rwhp and 568rwtq on the same dyno
Had a similar race the other week. Procharged vette putting down 685rwhp vs my 08 Viper 600rwhp. We had 6 races from 40 or 50 to 140-160 and split the wins. It seemed the driver who got the move took the win.
Drivers race....don't get caught sleeping!!!!
I'm tying to make a decision on what gear I would like to run. My car is mostly street with a 1/4 mile and Texas Mile thrown at it from time to time. I know 3.55 are a popular choice and know about the 5th and 6th trans mod (2010 settings) I would like as much feedback as possible from guys...
Final cost for Belangers, Ported Intake, Airbbox mod, Ported heads, oil change, spark plugs, catch can, new bolts and gaskets, and RR was around 9k:omg:
I'll see if I can get some pics. I think it was simple....they smoothed out all of the rough spots in the stock air box and throttle bodies.
Let me ask the shop and I'll get back to you guys ASAP:2tu:
