Gen 4 Heads on Gen 3

I do think it's odd that they went away from metal for the intake manifold on the Gen 5. I've seen a video where a heavily modified Gen 5 literally blew a hole in his manifold from using NOS. I highly doubt that would have happened with the Gen 4 intake.

Gen 4 Heads on Gen 3

This post is directed towards Viper Specialty, as I know his company does this conversion, but anyone else can chime in also if they have info. What exactly is involved in putting Gen 4 heads on a Gen 3? I know they won't just bolt on, and have different exhaust ports. Is it worth it to do this...

Looking For Gen 4 or 5 Wheels

I'm wanting to change the stock wheels on my Gen 3. I really like a lot of the wheels from the Gen 4 and 5, so if anyone has any of their stock wheels for sale, I'm very interested!

    Looking For Stock Exhaust

I'm looking for stock headers and cats, but don't need the rest of the exhaust. Does anyone have these for sale?

Exhaust Sounds Different On Each Side

I assume this isn't a normal thing, but it's definitely odd. The exhaust on the drivers side has a nice lopey-cam sound to it, but the passenger side is much faster and more even sounding, almost as if that bank of cylinders is firing more quickly. When I turn on the AC, both sides sound the...

    Snake Oyl Cruise Control Instructions

I recently bought a new-in-box cruise control system from a fellow forum member, but there are no installation instructions with it, and the previous owner never had them. Does anyone who has installed the unit have the instructions? Thanks in advance for anyone that can help!

Corsa mufflers installed and fluid change

I recently did a full fluid change and exhaust install also. The previous owner installed a ridiculous frankenstein jiffy **** special of an exhaust that had multiple leaks and droned like you wouldn't believe. A Corsa and high flow cats fixed all of that, and the fluid change was very much...

    Catless Check Engine Light

So, I decided to have cats installed, and did so today. The fuel smell was starting to bother me and the car was a little too loud and raspy. the cats solved all these problems and it's much more enjoyable to drive now. While I was in the shop I took a look under the car and there are actually...

    Catless Check Engine Light

When I bought my car it had a ridiculous frankenstein of an exhaust on it that droned like crazy and had multiple exhaust leaks. I have since removed the crappy jiffylube special cats and exhaust and put on a Corsa with a piece of pipe where the cat used to be. The car didn't seem to notice or...

    replacing ac condenser?

All you should have to do is remove the accessories belt and then unbolt the old one and put in the new one. I changed my alternator a few weeks ago and it was very easy. This should be about the same effort, though you'll need to access it from under the car as far as I can tell.

    Power Window Issue

Thank you for the offer, but I live in VA, so that would be quite the drive, haha.

    Power Window Issue

Yeah, I figured it was probably a BCM issue. It would be very weird for both regulators to fail in the exact same way, and the motors do indeed work fine up and down. I've had the battery both replaced recently and also disconnected for an extended time when I replaced the alternator. Same...

The great blend door teardown (with pics)

My AC doesn't **** as cool as I want it to either. Is the recharge process difficult? That's something I've never done on a car.

    Power Window Issue

Ever since I bought my car, neither of the power windows will automatically roll up to seat inside the window seal when you close the door. They do roll down the small amount when you open the door, but I always have to then hold the switch to push them back up when I close the door. They also...

The great blend door teardown (with pics)

I had to pull off my drivers side section of the dash to change the instrument lights to LED and to route a mic cable up along the A pillar, as well as the center console and waterfall behind the seats to route a backup camera cable; I thought that was fairly intensive dismemberment, but this is...

    Coils and Plugs?

So after taking a hard look at the manifold area, I decided I didn't need to take off the manifold to change the wires. I took Dan's advice from above, and didn't mess with the coil packs. Took me about two hours, plenty of cussing, and a lot of dexterity with a pair of really long pliers, but I...

    Coils and Plugs?

Thanks for the replies! It definitely doesn't look too difficult, just very time consuming. I just figured that since I already have to take off the manifold to change the wires, I might as well also replace the coil packs since I don't want to have to do this again for a very long time, perhaps...

    Coils and Plugs?

Earlier this year I changed the spark plugs on my F Type R myself, and that was absolutely insane in terms of how difficult it was to access the plugs. Took me 5 hours to change 8 plugs and I swore I'd never do it again. From the look of it, pulling the intake manifold off is 100 times easier...

    Coils and Plugs?

A couple weeks ago I got into my second Viper -- a 2004 SRT10. It has only 25,000 miles and I've already replaced all the fluids on the car, as well as the spark plugs. Should I go ahead and change out the plug wires and ignition coils too given the car's age?
