My last experience in my Viper at least at lower speeds it tended to loose traction, spin and then keep going backwards. This is a really old video I made. http://racevideo.info/viper/Finalsnow.wmv
Haven't posted on this site for a long time. I would just make sure you have a reasonable mechanic that's willing to work on the car. It's a pretty simple car and not that hard to work on. I sold mine since it was getting hard to get service. Shortly after I sold mine one of the local dodge...
When I sold my Viper 2 years ago I posted a video using Flash of my usual daily drive. With so many video devices you could always post a video like that. I think it helps if the video is raw. There's no music in the background. The drive is through traffic with no breaks in the video and has...
These are not delicate cars that need to be preserved in time capsules. I had mine for 14 years. I drove it like it was stolen. I left it out in the Texas Panhandle hot sun. I drove it through thunderstorms. I drove it through water crossings. I went through wind storms. It never let me...
I had a dealer call me. They told me they had a new Viper in stock that I may be interested in. They brought the car over. One of the new salesmen was going to ride along. I didn't realize it until later that it was a joke on the salesman. I guess I had a reputation for giving pretty wild...
Thanks for letting my brother take a look at the car. He liked it quite a bit. I'm still a little mechanically limited up here which is part of the reason why I sold mine. As a result I can't buy it. I had to use my last one as a daily driver so between the tires and specialty parts it was...
The radiator got a leak in it. There was air in the system. The engine which usually runs a little hot started running a little hotter. By the time I shut it down it had blown a head gasket. The oil was filled with water. The mechanic didn't think he could rebuild the engine. He found an...
It's been almost 10 years since I last sold a car. It was a BMW M5. It sold pretty quickly. I don't really have room for the Viper since we're getting another car. I put together a little web page for it here.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be...
I had a '93 Twin Turbo RX7. It had the similar rear wheel drive bias that the Viper has. I think the biggest thing is to able to sense the rear tires and how it relates to your foot on the accelerator.
I had a 89 944T and it seemed to need repairs fairly often. I later had a '96 993 C4 and it had a few nitpicky things at first but for 2 years ran flawlessly. I bought it new. I then bought a '96 993 Twin turbo. It had 40K miles on it. It had some pretty significant things go out on it...
Hope you set a good market value for it since I have one that looks just like it. The only problem I have is that I can't get myself to part with it.
Good luck.
Our race car had headers and no exhaust system. Our garage was in an industrial zoned area but backed up to a subdivision. If we ever started the engine up after 10pm at night the police would be at our garage in about 5 minutes because of the noise. (I suspected a particular neighbor)...
We bought my daughter a BMW 328i for her 16th birthday. It had 85,000 miles and was not too expensive. She pulled out into traffic and her and another car hit head on. Combined speed of about 60 mph. She got a little scratch on her left arm where the air bag hit her as it deployed. That's...
If you're brave, there's a guy named Barney on the Blvd west who works on mine. If he doesn't know what to do he'll find out how. I agree with calling George. By the way George is planning a trip out to Boy's ranch at the end of July. It would be great if you came. Even though the local...
