    Garage modified for lift

Agreed...modfiying trusses isn't something the average joe should do...I'd want to see exactly how this guy modified your trusses...you'll know if it is done right when you get a few feet of snow during the winter! Like Steve said, trusses sometimes utililze 2x4's. If the span was larger, they...

    Garage Floor Painting?

And let me guess you paid someone like a thousand dollars or more to do this? For what you paid to get your floors coated, I could ceramic tile my garage and have it look like a new car showroom! Some ceramic tiles are under $1.50 per sq. ft., and the mastic is cheap for a large bag. The...

    Garage Floor Painting?

Some sort of floor/tile glue you spread on with a trowel with small "teeth" These tiles are cheap enough and will never come up etc. Mop the floor and sweep relatively easily too!

Voltage between coolant and ground... bad?

My wife had electrolysis done in her bikini area...pretty impressive to say the least! No more bumps from shaving! Maybe I should have had her rub some zinc anode down there and would have not costed me a grand to have a bare bikini area? Hmmm....zinc anode may be a new alternative to having...

Voltage between coolant and ground... bad?

Yo man...whose chain are you trying to pull? Is this a joke? I have run an aluminum radiator in one of my cars and never heard of this high tech jargon you speak of. FIll it up with some Prestone and stop worrying. That motor isn't gonna be hurt by anything you speak of...relax...too many...

    Garage Floor Painting?

None of it works. It will always come up regardless of how you prep it. That is why painters wont guarantee it period. Ever wonder why people are always recoating their garage floors? I have done a few and prepped them with acid etc. only to find out that the tires lift the paint eventually...

    97-98 Gts head gasket

I reused mine as per Chuck and no problems whatsoever almost a year and a half later! Doug Levin once told me as long as the bolts are not corroded and look new they can be reused as well. I would only reuse them once...if I had to do my head gaskets or heads over once again, I'd go with a new...

    What is a creampuff?

The terms "creampuff" is in itself a gayeous term. I'd love to meet the nincompoop who actually "coined" this terminology. It makes me want to vomit every time I see the word typed on here. And, no, my Viper is not a "creampuff" so I am unbiased.

See Doug Levin in North Miami beach...about 35-40 minutes south of Boca. Doug is, without a doubt a mechanical genius and will treat your car like a newborn baby...if your Viper needs attention, he is your man...hands down! He has a website link on here somewhere...

How do I add a CD Changer to my 96 RT/10?

I am adding one as we speak. Bought a JVC with 12 disc changer/mp3 player. Mounted in trunk and have run the wire with the other harness up to the front of the car, zip tying the cable tot he existing radio harness in the trans tunnel. Drilled a large 5/8" hole in tunnel foreward of the...

How do you get your hard top off your RT/10 by yourself?

I have taken it off a few times by myself. Not easy but when you have no one around you have to do what you have to do. Two people its a piece of cake. One person it isn't easy. Eating your Wheaties or drinking a Red Bull in the morning will help if you decide to take part in that arduous task...

Crank & Harmonic balancer/crank pulley have come disconnected?? HELP!!

Many times in shops when a crank bolt calls for 250lbs. or torque we run that bolt up with an airgun and use the loctite. It isn't easy torquing that bolt down and not spinning the whole motor. Unless you can have someone wedge a prybar holding the flywheel or putting the car in 6th gear...

any real good viper techs around delaware or close

Steve, The gaskets are about $700+ now. I don't know what book time is but I know that Viper techs probably take the better part of two days to do the entire job, especially if they aren't doing it every day. If they charge 10 hours at $85-90+ an hour that is almost a grand. Figure tax...

any real good viper techs around delaware or close

Stay away from Barbera....crooks period...If you do go to them, make sure you get a decent estimate on the repair. The whole job should be no more than $2200-$2500 with parts/labor. I know the new head gaskets have gone up in price.

whats it worth with bad head gasket/6800 mile 96 gts

I second that. Jeez...the head gaskets go and you want to sell? I replaced mine and never looked back! No more leaks and runs great. As far as people saying the bearings are shot I wouldn't worry about it. I'd throw in an upper engine gasket set, flush the oil twice and call it a day. Just a...
