    BUSTED

I appreciate the sentiment, but a CNN comparison of taxes for someone with $75K income, $200K house, and $25K in savings (SWAG, but you referenced 10 year old data from a Massachusetts organization) isn't really representative for many hard working people. Also, the loss of freedoms in VA...

    BUSTED

Interesting thread, can now add VA to the list of states I will never live in and seek to minimize spending in. You have to admit though that CA and NY are tough to beat as states to avoid at all costs if you care about keeping your money and freedoms. As the saying goes, "God bless Texas"...

Is SSG worth all the BS?

I too was just okay with the SSG from pictures, but then when we saw them in person at VOI in Detroit I was hooked. After that VOI I went in a hurried search for a SSG car, as they were only supposed to be produced for the one year at that time. The SSG gets more attention than I ever got in...

    Well this is not cool...

Next time you a Vette like mine blows by you on the street or track, keep telling yourself you are superior based upon 'exclusivity'. That's some good stuff right there. I will keep that in mind. Although I don't get to the track like I once did, I don't recall ever being passed by a 'vette...

    Poll: Fogs or no fogs?

I don't mind losing the fog lights, seems most people just run them 100% of the time anyway because they think it looks cool. If you think they are helping your vision and you are driving above 45 MPH, you need to stop and ponder where your vision is focused. Just MHO of course....:) :tx:

Disappointed with the SRT staff at the NY auto show...

Never always know... sometimes with small town dealers, they may rarely get a Viper and mark it up just to have it sit in the showroom to bring people into the Dodge / Chrysler / Fiat dealership, it is a halo car, nothing wrong with that if they can afford to let it sit to help them market their...

Gen 4 prices going to drop like led bricks in 5 days

...besides, the Viper has always had traction control. To paraphrase the Grailkeeper; "The Viper does come with traction control, they're called your feet. Learn to use them." :tx:

Gen III Wheels on my GEN II - Questions

Thanks Vnum. The wheels are factory polished, just the way they came, and the car is stock suspension. I have never considered lowering it, I already hate hearing that scraping going into numerous driveways or turn 1 at TWS (not that I've been there for a while):)

Gen III Wheels on my GEN II - Questions

Yes, they are the same. Maybe the picture was taken right after taking off of jack stands for install (I don't really remember when picture taken), or maybe it is just angle and lighting. Here is different angle...

Gen III Wheels on my GEN II - Questions

ditto on the recommendation to consider gen IV wheels. The 6 spokes are much lighter and once were very reasonable ($1500/set). Haven't priced them lately.:tx:

Anyone install the new Mygig head unit in a gen 3?

I bought a my gig from an '08 Charger. Can't use it in my '05 SRT 10 Ram, my '07 Wrangler Rubicon or my '09 Viper. Willing to let it go for $500 plus shipping. Includes the uconnect mirror and lifetime sirius. Think you would have to add an antenna. PM sent.

Anybody in OKC willing to check out a vehicle?

I didn't get any replies so right now I am going based just on talking to a salesman while he walked around the truck and answered specific questions. I would still appreciate any help. The truck is at Bob Howard Chrysler Jeep Dodge.

Anybody in OKC willing to check out a vehicle?

I am wondering if there is anybody in Oklahoma City that would be willing and able to help me out with inspection of a Ram SRT10 at a dealer up there? I would feel a lot better talking money with them if someone had checked it out. Let me know if anyone wants to help out a Viper brother in TX...

So what's the Story on the SRT 10 Ram Trucks ?

I do have a Cummins, but it is in a 2002 QC long-bed with 6 speed. It is a towing machine and I will probably never get rid of it, but it is not so good for taking members of my team to meetings or to the club for lunch. Hence, the 4 door... Oh, and my Cummins only delivers 21 MPG in town and...

So what's the Story on the SRT 10 Ram Trucks ?

Thanks or the feedback guys. I am going to go look at a 19,000 mile '06 QC next week. I'm digging everything about the QC's except the auto and gas mileage. What the heck, the auto may be okay in Houston traffic....:tx:

So what's the Story on the SRT 10 Ram Trucks ?

Okay, I am going to try to resurrect this thread. I have been thinking about a quad-cab model, as I need 4 doors for business purposes, and there appear to be a few spaced around the country with less than 20,000 miles on them, and even a couple with <10,000 miles. A couple questions for...

Anyone ever dealt with Texas Direct?

Went by there today to look at a Ram SRT10 they had listed. The place is different. Upon entering they funnel all traffic to visitor/customer parking area. Next step is to go to showroom and select vehicle you are interested in on computer via inventory search (self-service). Inventory...

    Limited time offer from dealer!!!!!

"I got the same notice a few weeks ago for my 09 ACR, at $0. If you have ever been to NW Dodge, those guys are pathetic to say the least." The ad pretty much sums up what has become of Northwest Dodge. It is sad, as they were pretty much the go-to dealer for Viper stuff in the 1998-2002 time...

    Limited time offer from dealer!!!!!

Hey everybody, I received a Limited Time offer from a local dealer today that you all may want to get in on!! I received the following exciting offer from Northwest Dodge here in Houston. Just maybe, if you ask nicely, they might extend the same deal terms to you!! I will refrain from adding...

    Chrysler Loan Repay Update

I haven't been paying that much attention to Chrysler corporate matters. Did they really have a bond offering??? What investing fools would ever buy a bond with Chrysler's name on it after they just screwed the bondholders less than 2 years ago? As for the bailout that should never have...

What are stock brake parts worth?

Those calipers were really expensive to buy new and once upon a time many people kept a spare set if they could find them reasonable (I still have a spare set). They once would have easily been $250-300 for the calipers if in good shape, don't know about current environment. Might touch base...

Chrysler to pay off fed loans

As it was said years ago, and still holds true today... "We at Chrysler borrow money the old-fashioned way. We pay it back. " Lee Iacocca That should read; We at Chrysler do things the new fangled way. We take from the bond and common stock holders and give to the unions and government.
