In other news, the next generation Viper is slated to make its debut in 2012 - but when and where? That question is answered by Ralph Gilles, President and CEO of the SRT brand in this issue of VIPER magazine. Now...
I've known John since I first got into Vipers.
I haven't seen in for a few years now...
This is terrible...
John B. Myrick, P.E., is Director of Process Technology, overseeing Commonwealth's process design and simulation for the various refining, gas processing and chemical processing clients...
Gallardo is beautiful but with all wheel drive and a high revving engine, it gets boring quick according to Big Carrot.
No torque and no rear wheels pushing the fun.
If you liked the way the big torque felt in the Viper, you will not enjoy the Gallardo as much once the shine of owning a Lambo...
I pulled the trigger on the GT and in an "either/or" situation, I would stick with the GT. Bone stock these cars are putting out 520-550 RWHP and with an inexpensive pulley change, it is unbelievable.
I may pick up the 2008 Viper to sit right along side of it but it could not take it's place...
I think the price is very fair for a blue/white first edition car.
I got more than that in trade on my FGT not that long ago actually.
The wheels look stunning on the car IMO.
I've had 547's two of my Vipers and they looked quite a bit different...the Venom 5R's are more like the 545's...
I know that car well and it is flawless. I just saw it this past weekend in Dallas and I know the owner very well.
There is not a Viper out there that is pampered more.
His detail guy is unbelievable.
It is a member's car.
Seeing it made me miss my '06 Coupe!
David Weaver at has always exceeded my expectations.
He is located right off of I35 at American Racing Technologies owned by Cody Whitehead in Buda, TX...great location for us South Austin guys!
I haven't used Chris but it is great to have a well recommended alternative in Austin. Thanks for...
The FGT's make more power than 550 FWHP in reality, but this definitely is encouraging considering the weight of the 2008 Viper could possibly be even lower than the current car.
The Concept GTSR or even a street version on the Competition Coupe...the very thing most current owners have been asking for at every opportunity and round table discussion at VOI's.
Re: Impact of \'08 Viper on Gen 3 resale value
.
I'm talking about the C5 Z06...when it went from 385HP to 405HP and they slapped a badge proclaiming the HP jump on the fender. Prices dumped on the 385HP versions...and that was only a 20HP difference...
Re: Impact of \'08 Viper on Gen 3 resale value
If the MSRP remains the same or similar, naturally the value of the earlier cars will drop...just look at the 385 HP Z06...
Well, having the means to purchase great automobiles does not make you a reasonable nor rational person, obviously.
I don't wave the Ford flag, as the FGT is the first Ford I have purchased.
I certainly don't wave the Corvette flag, but I give credit where credit is due.
You are standing...
and your reliable info is quoted from a member on this board who heard it from a the neighbor's wife's cousin's doctor who watches nascar...
That is truly reliable info.
