A gen 2 safety issue that you should all know about and a public service from me

Finally got a day off work and got around to replacing my bracket and pulley. Took me about 3 hours but that included 2 trips to Harbor Freight Tools :-) The hardest part was pulling the old broken pulley off. The old pulley was almost sheared 100% off the shaft. Peter

    Sun's out!

I had the raffle car out on Sunday afternoon for a curvy road drive. In the morning, I was driving in my Highlander coming back with the family from Breakfast in Redmond when a black SRT-10 with wing and splitter caught up to me on the 520 on-ramp and passed me going by Marymoor. I tried to...

    Special Raffle, VCA, VOI Vipers

Yeah, I still have it... hasn't stopped me from entering all the other raffles :-) Fingers crossed this week! As for more pictures, I don't have many on my hard drive at work, but I do have this one lying around that I took a few weeks ago on one of the few dry days in Seattle's winter.

    Spotted Bob K today

On nice days I'm either in the Viper, on a red/black Honda CBR 600, or in a black E30 M3. Today it's the Viper. Unfortunately, can't do the dinner tonight. Only got about 4 hrs sleep last night and I'm dragging today.

    Spotted Bob K today

If I didn't drive it, I'd rather sell it! It's taking up too much valuable garage space to just sit there :-)

    Spotted Bob K today

I had a carload of coworkers (coming back from lunch) and didn't want to detour them too much. I had followed you for a few blocks trying to get beside you to say hi. Tried to take the Viper this morning but battery needs to be replaced :-(

    1 of 1 RT/10 ACR ?

I'm the proud owner of the car in question. From a cosmetic standpoint, there are things I like and don't like about it, but it's a one of a kind, so I'm not changing a thing :-) Carl posted up a picture from a regional BBQ we had today...here's a link to a group picture of most of the...

    Black RT/10 in Soho today...

Am in NYC for the holidays and spotted someone's black RT in Soho...somehow, I just couldn't bear to drive mine in Manhattan :-) Years ago I drove a friend's Merc through Paris and vowed never to take a nice car into Paris again. Park by feel was the only way to parallel park ;-) Soho Viper...

If you win a Viper, how do the taxes work?

One more clarification, since I know many of you love to gamble, a raffle win comes with a W-2G (Gambling Winnings) which can be offset by documented gambling losses in the same calendar year. So save those lotto and ATM receipts, make sure your casino host can back your losses up, etc. :-)

If you win a Viper, how do the taxes work?

You are taxed at your tax bracket. The problem with winning a $70K car is that bumps you into the next tax bracket! And if you're luckier, you begin to reduce your ability to take deductions! Still the cheapest way to a new Viper.

    Raffle ACR is for sale!

Well, as the winner of last year's raffle, I can tell you that the taxes, titling (8.x% state sales tax), registration, total well over 30K. But that's still the cheapest new ACR :-) Keep in mind that the value of the car comes as a W2-G so it bumps your total income surely into the next tax...

RT/10 Raffle Car Delivered Tonite !

I want to really thank everyone for coming out on a Friday evening. It was very sweet to see everyone after a busy summer that saw me overseas during most of the Viper events. I know several drove a while through that lovely Seattle traffic to get there. Fortunately the ground was dry...

Raffle car...have any pictures been posted by new owner?

I still haven't taken delivery of it. There were some logistical details to be worked out and the paperwork only got completed this week. Peter PS. Yes, I'll post photos as soon as I get it!

And the VCA Graphite RT/10 ACR Raffle Winner is:

No worries about not using it as intended. I tracked my GTS for 2+ years before building a dedicated track car and I've still got my spare wheels, lots of tires, trailer, etc... so I'm good to go However, I will be ensuring it doesn't get crunched so no track records will be set in this car...

Congratulations to Peter Wong on being the fortunate winner!

I'm so looking forward to this :-) Words can't describe how excited I was when I got the call this morning. I was just getting ready to go out for some breakfast when I thought some telephone solicitor was disturbing my quiet weekend :-) Will take delivery just in time for a PNW Fall :-) See...
